Cian shrugged. "Been awhile since i've seen you."

Zach nodded silently.

 

"Well then, what is it? It's I've fallen a little behind, that friend of yours and Jizen just showed up to annoy me and I lost about 10 mintues of work. Don't think I'm rushing you, it's not that much. I just like to keep on top."

 

Tuski smiled and stood up. "You know, I didn't want to leave" she said.

 

Cian stared at her silently. "Really? then why did you?"

"I heard you were doing some research on people like Dein..." Zach explained quickly. "What have you found out?"

 

"Because I thought you wanted me too" she said and looked at him. "I thought you hated me..."

 

"Not a whole lot I'm afraid. And what I have discovered, well... I highly doubt he'd want to hear."

 

"Will you tell me?" Zach asked patiently.

Cian patted her on the head. "I might've been angry with you but i never hated you."

 

"Of course. You see, Dein is by no means the first of his kind. But, he is most likely the first of his kind to reach maturity. I fact, these and I quote "unholy children of Heaven and Hell" were often burned alive to purdge the world of their "filth". Please remember, these are not my words. Personally I think he's a good person, these are just what I've discovered within these books."

 

Tuski looked down and thought then got up and pressed herself against him and hugged him.

 

Zach stared at him. "So, Kate is part of some kind of cult and that's why she hates him?"

Cian hugged her back confusion clear on his face...

 

"Ah... No, most likely she is just like most others in this world and she hates what she doesn't understand or wish to accept. Take Jizen for an example, she couldn't care less what Dein is because of how she was raised. She sees him and just another person whose never quite been understood. That's what she finds so intriguing about him. The chances are Kate depises Dein for what he is because that is what she was taught since birth."

 

Zach nodded his understanding...

 

"Cian...I'm sorry" she said while hugging him.

 

"Indeed, that is as much as I know and care to repeat. Because there are some stories that even I couldn't bear to retell."

 

Zach nodded again. "Thanks for the info..."

"It's okay." Cian reassured hugging her back.

 

"I'm sorry I couldn't help you more, but this is indeed a difficult subject to find matter on these days. Because, of course, it isn't history. It's current affairs."

 

Tuski looked at Cian's eyes when she released him.

 

Cian smiled at her again.

Zach nodded. "So, should i hide Dein from public eyes?"

 

"No, that would just make him more of a target. A low but constant profile would most likely be the best course of action. Because then maybe people will see that he poses no threat to them."

 

She blushed and smiled and moved away. "I like you, you know" she said
