Creatures of the Night

Raine was asleep on the couch while the tv was still on, his money schemes allowed such waste of electricity as he was a mercenary even though his training was from the 1800's.

 

Jessica jumped out of the elevator and ran to the door where Raine was. She banged on it, nonstop.
"Open up!" she cried, tears streaming down her cheeks. She wouldn't know if he'd recognize her, with her makeover.

 

Raine rolled off the couch and stumbled to the door half asleep. He opened it to see the girl from before in a guise, he could tell from her scent and body language, "Back so soon?", he yawned letting her in.

 

"Yeah.. Sorry to bother you," she said, tears rolling down her cheeks. She was shaking and rubbing her cheek raw where she was burnt.

 

OOC: Sorry I wasn't on, I couldn't connect all day. What did I miss?

 

OOC: New Character, nothing else more.

 

OOC: Okay. Is it still night?

 

OOC: No, it's morning now..

 

OOC: Okay.

BIC: Hidan woke up and put his leather clothes and hood on.

Raine sighed, "Take a seat", he said pointing her to the couch as he went and put the kettle on again and came back, "So?", he asked knowing she wouldn't of come back here without a reason.

 

She began shaking, still crying.
"There was...this guy, and he stalked me and had me cornered in the alleyway," she said, folding her hands together

 

"Do you think he was a slayer?", Raine asked leaning against the counter where his TV was. The kettle could be heard boiling the water from the room they where in.

 

She shook her head.
"I-I don't know.. He was a psycho," she said, her voice trilling from being so scared

 

The kettle finally boiled, "Sounds like an ordinary killer to me", he said walking into the kitchen, "Do you drink coffee?", he asked, he wasn't sure if other vampires drank normal drinks like himself.

 

She shrugged.
"Casually..." she answered, still shaking. She rubbed her cheek more where it was burned. "My face hurts," she complained.

 

Raine returned from the kitchen with two cups of coffee, "You'll get over that", he said handing her coffee while commenting on her face burn. Raine took a sip of his coffee, "I heard human killers are also killing just as many vampires these days with the whole 'every human needs a UV' thing", Raine said before taking a second sip.

 

She nodded and sighed.
"I don't recall ever having one, as a human..." she said, trying to remember her past again. A pain arose from behind her eyebrow and she slightly twitched. She sipped a bit of coffee, savoring the caffeine.

 

"How long have you been a vampire?", Raine asked drinking more of his coffee, he was unable to taste the coffee over the lingering after taste of 150 years of blood.

 

She tried to think. It felt like a few months to her, but she knew that wasn't really it.
"I'm guessing about..2 and a half weeks," she said, looking down at the coffee, inhaling the aroma. That always kept her calm. Her heightened senses helped her keep very calm with the new and improved aromas.
