Why do so many people hate Soulja Boy? Or is it just hip-hop in general?

 

the songs about the dance, not the music. people like it cause its fun to dance to at parties and homecoming dances and stuff.

anyways. soulja boy gets on my nerves. he has no tallent whatsoever. Now a days, anyone can be a rapper, it doesn't matter if your good, if you can make a song, thats all. I mean, yeah, that can be good to dance to, but then again, if he actually put some GOOD lyrics, maybe I wouldn't hate him much.

Look at Jay-Z, T.I, Kanye West,Ludacris, their songs are amazing, even though some of their songs aren't about anything really concerning, their other songs actually have a lot of meaning.

Right now Soulja Boy has crap songs out: Soulja Girl, which if he didn't have those other people in the background, it would be even more horrible.

You make a great point. And critics have given him bad ratings.

The reason he gives such bad lyrics and such is because he wants to make songs that people could dance to. He says that when people go to a club or something, they don't wanna hear a rapper rapping about thier life story, but rather to dance and have fun.

And also, he makes great beats on FL Studio. :P

er, that excuse is boggus. they don't play that song in the clubs, well in T.O anyway, and even if your dancing, you can hear lyrics. But another thing I was saying is that yeah, he can make those type of songs, but atleast show you have tallent and write another song that actually relates to people.

 

I totally agree. But if there is one thing that I envy about Soulja Boy is his ability to produce on FL Studio. T_T
