Lexi sat in the chair and closed her eyes. Trying to calm down.

 

He sat down next to her and rubbed her back, trying to soothe her and help her calm down.

 

She rested her head on his shoulder and said "I'm sorry for ruining your fun time at the dance, you can still go, I can stay here"

 

"I would never leave you at a time like this. You need someone here to watch over you." he said, putting his arm around her.

 

"I'm alright, I can manage. Go, have fun. Seriously, I don't want you to stay here for me" She kissed his cheek.

 

"I want to." he said. "It won't be fun without you."

 

"Alright," She said resting her hand on his.

 

"I'm sorry about what happened to your brother." he said, looking her in the eye.

 

"It's alright," she said. "It was the stupid driver's fault,"

 

"Yeah, but I still feel bad." he said, hugging her.

 

The doctor went to Lexi and said "He's doing fine... but he's in a terrible condition. He might not be able to leave the hospital for a while" Lexi nodded ,"Can I go see him?" She asked. The doctor let her in the room. Her brother was laying on the bed having a bunch of tubes all around him.

 

Henry went in with her.

 

Lexi couldn't move from where she was. She was too shocked. She had one hand covering her mouth.

 

Henry put his arm around her and said "Remember, the doctor said he's doing fine."

 

Lexi didn't say anything. She nevered moved for a long while.

BIC: Henry tried to lead her away so she could calm down a bit.

 

"I'm so sorry" Lexi whispered to Ben.

 

"It's not your fault." he said to her.

 

Lexi finally sat down. " I know," She said. She hugged Henry tighter.

 

He hugged her back and kissed her forehead.
