College Life

Henry was confused as to why she was getting so annoyed. He thought she might have known that he lied about what he was thinking, and decided to come clean when she got back.

 

Lexi went to the washroom to splash some cold water on her face. Then she stepped outside for a moment to have fresh air.

 

He went back to eating, a little worried.

 

Lexi went back to the table to finish her food.

 

"Listen, I wasn't entirely honest with you." he said. "When you said it was someone important, I immediatly thought it was an ex-boyfriend whom you still liked. I was worried that he was more important to you than I was. But once you said that he took care of you when you were little, I realized how stupid I was. Can you forgive me?"

 

"Maybe" She said and gave a little pout. Then she turned her head away from him to eat her food, like a little child.

 

He sighed and hugged her from behind. "I'm really really sorry. Is there anything I can do to earn your forgiveness? Anything at all?" he asked.

 

"Instead of asking me... ask yourself what's best. I can't always tell you what to do," She said taking a bite of her food while she was tied up in the hug.

 

"Alright." he said, letting go of her and going back to his food, which was almost gone.

 

Lexi finished her food too and her drink. "We better go soon," She said looking at the time.

 

"Yeah." he said. "We need to get ready for the dance." He paid for the food and got up.

 

"that's true, oh man... I have to look for a dress," She said forgetting that she had to do that.

 

"Want me to help you look for one?" he asked.

 

"Do you mind? it is kind of a girly thing. If you want to, then I'm totally fine with it," she smiled.

 

"I don't mind, as long as I'm spending time with you." he said.

 

"Okay then," she smiled, "Let's go" she said as she paid for lunch. She got up from the table and headed for the door.

 

He followed after her.

 

Lexi got really excited. "I don't know what colour to choose for my dress. I like purple and blue and all the other colours," She said as she climbed into the driver's seat of the car.

 

He got in the passenger seat.

 

Lexi started up her car and drove to downtown. She parked in the parking lot. They were going to a mall. "Ready?"she asked.
