College Life

Lexi walked with Zack inside the hospital. She asked the receptionist where her friends were and pointed to the direction. Lexi saw Hailey and Henry at the door.

 

Zack followed Lexi

 

"Ready to go in?" he asked them, his hand on the doorknob.

 

"Yeah, " she nodded and said.

 

He opened the door and walked in.

 

"Oh. Hey you guys." Michael said, trying to cover up the blood stains on his clothes so that no one would freak out. "What's up?"
He sat up on his hospital bed in order to see better. According to the doctor, he had damaged part of his rib cage which made sitting up a bit more painful.

 

"We all came to visit." Henry said. "They made an announcement at the school, so we came as soon as we heard. We were all worried, especially Hailey."

 

Ryo leaned agains a wall with his arms crossed and watched them talk

 

"We came to check if you were alright." Lexi said to him. "It looks like you're getting better," She smiled. She went to the wall with Ryo and stood near him

 

"An anouncment at the school? Wow, I thought they would just make sure the headmaster was told." he said, surprised. "Anyway, I'm doing fine. Some of my bones still hurt, but I'm recovering. I just wish I could get out of here."

 

"I don't think they will let you," she said. "We can ask them, but did they tell you when you can leave?" She asked him

 

Michael groaned and slouched in his bed.
"One week." he muttered.

 

Zack leaned againest the wall and put his foot against it, "a week eh" he said. "thats longer than I thought"

 

"Weren't you paying attention to the announcement at school? They said he would be here for a week." he said. He turned to Michael. "But that mean's you'll miss the dance, not that you're in any condition to dance."

 

"that sucks," Lexi said. She wanted Michael to go for Hailey but now, it wasn't possible.

 

Michael sighed.
"Well, it's ok." he said, trying to act calm. "It's not like I asked anyone to the dance or something. So, it's no big deal. Anyway, anything new?"

 

"heh" Zack said, "besides this, everything is the same" he said.

 

"Yeah, but what if someone wanted to ask you to the dance?" he asked him. "Don't you think they would be upset?"

 

"Yeah... what about the girls who wanted to ask you?" Lexi said standing beside Henry.

 

"Well," Michael said, thinking about the possibility. "If someone were to like me enough to ask me to the dance, don't you think they would be more upset that I almost died than the fact that I can't go with them to the dance? Besides, barely anyone knows me at the university."
