Mek looked at it and grabbed the blade. "Ow!" he yelled before dropping it to examine the red liquid draining from his fingers. "B-blood?" he grabbed a near-by leaf and wrapped it around his finger. "I...I don't know how to use one..." he said as he scratched his head sheepishly.

 

"dont worry" cerxos said. "it just takes time learn your weapon and soon it will become a part of you. if you want me to be your bodyguard leaving you unarmed would be like me killing you.Take a look."he rolled up his sleeve and showed the sickening scar that covered almost the entire length of his left arm."this is the result of being unarmed but dont worry i will teach you how to fight tomorrow because i cant protect you forever."he sighed and sat down"No one lives forever." here he handed mek 500 dollars and a few coins."hold on to this and buy any supplies you might need when we get into town we are about a 5 minute walk from town. we cant fly in because these people really hate bristorians."

Mek held it again. It didn't feel much more fluent, but he could feel the slightest bit more comfortable. Mek put the money in his pocket and walked into town. He heard footsteps from behind them and it sent shivers up his spine. "H-hey?" he tapped his friend's back. "C-Cerxos?" he heard a metal scrape from behind him and felt cold steel touch his neck. A tear ran down his cheek. Mek hoped for a chance...

BIC: Cerxos saw who the person who frightened mek was it was one of those guards he must have followed them."GET AWAY"Cerxos tackled the guard to the ground and grabbed ahold of his wings and said get near us again and you will lose your ability to fly understand??!!!"

"Oh mek are you ok?"

 

Mek was shaking where he sat. He couldn't think straight at all. Thoughts flew around his mind like a cow caught in a tornado. He owed his life to this rebellious criminal. But maybe...this criminal was rebelling because of something wrong. Was Mek blind this whole time?
He stood up and walked over to Cerxos, and ripped off his own cloak, revealing Mek's wings.
"I'm...not afraid. Let them know I'm different. I'll gladly take people down for what I believe in. I believe in my opinion. My own future. Let's go."
He walked off down the streets, showing off his weapons to people passing. People glaring at him through windows, he gave a smug smirk. He looked at people through the windows and laughed. "I'm not afraid!"
Some people would think of Mek as...stupid.
This pretty much proves.
5 people with biceps the size of basketballs came out holding metal bars.
Mek's legs knocked a second before he stood up straight and looked serious.
No one took him too seriously. They ran in to get him from all sides. He flew into the air and landed on ones head before flying off, making him knowck himself in the head with his own weapon.

 

"heh good job kid not how i would do it but still good follow me we got places to go" he flew near mek to get him to follow"we are going to gratoni cause getting around is so easy." they flew away they both landed there even cerxos seemed a little shaken he said to mek"watch your step here and follow my lead speak to no one unless i ok it this is a dangerous place" suddenly a man with a mask came to cerxos and said "nia zny um dni gut cerxos." Cerxos then replied "la dheficcurk whuirt pod yaka ,ni serd ortihmdert zned zi ehi meaurk my irkcumn ortihmdert? (this is not gibberish this is al bhed so i typed to give the real outlandish feeling.)
the man nodded and said "hey kid you are really lucky this man saved you."
"Mek dont get to comfortable we are coming here to lay low and for some imports but even i dont call this place home"

OOC:following that little performance they had to go to the prison area to get hooked up for some new "toys"

Mek paused for a sec, thought about his home and fell to his hands and knees.
"M-mom...d-dad...everyb-body..." he tightened his grip on the ground as tears stained the flooring. "I...I have to go...I have to go back! What if...what if they miss me? I've been gone for a while. Curfew time is soon! I...I..." he fell on to the ground and curled into a ball. "I don't want to be here anymore...I don't!" he cried more. "I...I...I-..." he faded off into a sleep. He started to say in his sleep: it's been a long day...Cerxos...

 

he picked up mek and said quietly to himself this boy has had a long day and needs some rest "hey yaka got a room open at the inn?" "for you always as long as you got money" Cerxos flashed a few bills in front of his face "ah of course here you know where it its" Cerxos took the key and brought mek in to the room and laid him down on the first bed on the far right of the room. he went and sat on the bed on the far left and laughed"wow this is a pretty predicament.Cerxos then took off his cloak and his t-shirt and laid on his bed wearing only his tank top and jeans. he went to sleep knowing even though this was a warzone that here everyone blends in and no guard would dare come here.

 

As Mek slept, the mysterious object blinked a few times. After a minute, it fused into him. He started sweating for a half minute before going back to normal. He kept sleeping.

Morning came and he woke up at 6 AM on the dot. He stood up, feeling stronger than before. His wings shone brighter and were a bit bigger. He felt like a million dollars. "What the..." he looked at his hands; flashing, they were flashing! He jumped and looked for the mysterious object again. Nowhere to be seen. He looked back at his hands. "Did it...?"

 

Cerxos heard mek's stirring and awakened "Mek? is something the matter? are you ok?"

 

OOC: He's up and standing. Like, he's walking around xD

 

ooc: ok well lets keep the story going

BIC:
"YA! I'm BETTER than just OKAY!" Mek yelled as loud as he could, almost, "I feel like a million!" He looked out the window and realized he couldn't be seen. He put on a cloak and walked to the door, "I'm gonna go take a look around, alright? I'll be safe!" Mek put his hood up.

 

"fine fine but do not speak to anyone that does not speak english when you encounter them." Cerxos was about to lay back down but then said"oh and do not leave the desert it is not safe

 

Mek walked out the door and said "ya ya! I got it!" he quietly closed it and smiled, "finally, I can go into town."
He walked down the streets and looked at a couple clothing places. He grabbed some stuff and changed. He paid for the clothes and kept them on.
"Perfect!"
OOC: I'm gonna show what he looks like now! : D

 

"hmm.....one day that boy is gonna get in over his head. wow its funny though i wonder what would have happened if i didnt save him that day, ehh they probably woulda killed him"cerxos stomach growled"hmm better go grab something to eat."cerxos put on his cloak and went out looking for a good place to eat.

 

Mek stepped happily through the streets, pleased with his new clothes.
"I wonder..."
he scratched his chin as he looked through the window of a bar.
"I'm sure an orange juice would be delcious right about now..."
he went inside and got a drink. Someone tapped him on the shoulder.
"bud. You gotta come with me."
Mek looked around with a smile before turning it upside down.
"No!"
he ran out the door and jumped into an alleyway and climbed onto a roof.
"Please be safe...please be safe!"

 

Cerxos was in his favorite diner eating a cheeseburger when some burly man poked him on the shoulder he turned around."can I help you?" the man said back to him "yeah can you tell me where the blue blood bar is?"cerxos then replied "oh sure its about a 5 minute walk south of here look for a red and blue neon sign cant miss it i think they are open today and have a special on hot wings."

OOC: here of all places cerxos has no real problems because he has a lot of connections

BIC: the man said "thanks also do you know where this guy is? someone put a hit on him." he held up meks picture.Cerxos thought to himself damn, the bristorian guard has something they want from this boy."nah man havent seen him he is probably in metropoland thats where a lot of wanted men go.""oh well thanks again"

 

Before he could say it a tenth time, Mek looked over and saw a Bristorian hitman staring at him with a smirk. "Aww, the poor baby's scared is he?" he held out his hand "give me the jewel."
Mek looked through teary eyes. He stood up and backed up a bit. "I-I don't know what you're talking about!" his heel hit the wall.
The man took another step. "Look! I'm not interested in killing you yet! Just hand me the damn jewel and--"
Before he could finish his sentence, Mek fell backwards into the streets.
With tear stained eyes, he got up and ran down the street, only to run into a burly man.
"Ohshi-" Mek was grabbed and tied up by this point.


Mek awoke in a mobile jail cell, being taken to the elder's palace of the city.

 

Cerxos heard a beeping noise"Damn the boy yo! Kyoko you got my bike still?" the woman threw a set of keys at him"thanks see you later"he winked and ran out and saw his motorcycle looking brand new ok he put his mask on then his helmet and goggles"here i come kid"he revved the engine and blasted forward chasing the truck he shot the lock off the back and screamed "Mek,MEK!!! get up kid hurry. move move!"
