So ... I've never been very good at writing Poetry ... but I thought I should start, maybe. So I wrote a little thing ...

Thanks for reading ... and if you enjoyed it, or even in you hated it, I hope you can give me some feedback on how to make it not suck *sweatdrops*.

... Claw... why do you always have to beat yourself up? :\ Just why.

I liked it. ^^ Reminded me of my own poem, "How". Take a look, it's my poetry thread on here.

I also like the image in this poem too. Made me see your would with dove wings. :3

Rainbow's right, you are really good. I like seeing upbeat pieces like that. In the beginning I caught a sense of entrapment ensuring it would be a sad poem, yet in the end I was above the clouds, soaring with your words. You have talent. To rip a line from Spiderman, "With great power, comes great responsibility." Do the responsible thing, don't stop posting ^_^

It doesn't suck in the least, I can honestly say I enjoyed the read. The second stanza stands out imo, that one was magnificent.

More sappy introverted poetry ... yay ...

    Travel

As I sit in my chair as the land speeds by,
    Faster than eye can see,
The thoughts in my mind come wild and fast,
    Bewilderingly to me.

I things often of time that gone and have past,
And times that have yet to be.
I think of my family and friends from afar,
    And people I'll never see.

And I think about happiness, sadness and joy,
And times where I've wanted to flee,
And of all of this - every single day,
    And how it's affected me.

And though distance may part us,
    In space and in time.
In the dark, and the quiet or the corners of thought,
We're together forever in your heart and mine.

Meter is clearly not a strong point ... hahahahhahahaa *sweatdrop*.

    EDIT:

Another poem I've been meaning to write for a while:

    The Cruelty of Hours

We tramp a heavy, sullen step,
Around the world which turns below
We see the shadows shrink and grow
As days and hours flow and ebb.

We turn and see our friends behind,
Looking for comfort we seldom find.

In lockstep motion in and out,
My brothers, friends, and foes alike,
Walk as I do, eternally hike,
Across the earth each day and hour.

But yet they lag, or do we rush?
As the cruelty of hours our souls do crush.

For we who walk are cursed by time,
She lashes us with whips and spite,
Running as we do t’words the light,
Denied our meeting by the powers divine.

This is this is the price we pay, you see,
    For companionship and harmony.

Although many tried, resolve has wained
To break this curse that binds is all.
We accept the fact and follow the call,
Though in the end it brings us pain,

For those of us who walk now know,
There is no end to our toil and woe.

ANGST. In seriousness though, this one is more a dramatisation of how certainly I, and others I know who live outside the US, feel about timezones and such ;~;.
