Lake sighed, although she usually believed the best would come out of people at the right time after seeing River's performance her faith wasn't exactly strong.
"I don't know..." She muttered back.

"He'll be able to do it." Hermia said determinedly. "If the prophecy said so then it will be so. I'm sure he has the ability, he just doesn't know it yet."

"You sound awfully sure of that."

"I am. He'll do it."

 

"Hope your right."he said

 

"I'm going to go see how he's doing." Hermia said turning on her heel and heading off in the direction River and AJ had gone.

"It was only his first attempt to be fair."

 

"Yeah."Mickey said"Maybe the second will be better."


River pulled at his ripped sleeve"You gotta be kidding me....this was my favorite shirt..."he muttered as Aj stuck a bandaid on the cut over his eyebrow"It wont scar will it?"


"NAH...she got you lightly."

 

"He's never really had to fight before either."

"Maybe a scar would be a good thing, might make you look dangerous." Hermia grinned, leaning against something that was nearby. Her tone was almost flirtatious.

 

"Yeah....well...my dad has a scar....but he doesnt look dangerous ....just weird."


"Yeah."

 

"You would think that though, he's your Dad." She giggled. "I think it'd suit you, but whatever."

"Yeah." She nodded taking a couple of steps so she was right up close to him. "I think one here," Hermia continued running a finger gently from just above his right eye, over the bridge of his nose and down to just under his left eye. "Or here." She glided her finger from the spot under his left eye to the corner of his mouth.

"Personally I find scars rather sexy." Hermia shrugged as she pulled her hand away from his face. A pout on her face and the same look of angry dejection that she'd had when he'd dismissed her idea to help him train.

"You might not be able to avoid it though. And I don't think it'd wreck your face anyway..." She sighed glancing down at her feet. "I'm gonna go for a walk, the smell is making me uncomfortable. Sorry." Hermia added looking at AJ. "And sorry for just interrupting." She apologised as she walked past River.

 

"Um....see ya then."he said,looking confused

 

Hermia slowly wandered out into the deeper parts of the wood. She sniffed the air, it's scent was fresher then it had been before. No faint tinge of rotten flesh.

 

"See ya..Aj."he said he slowly made his way back to his parents and sisters,pulling his hood up out of habbit."

"where's Hermia?"Mickey asked "and Aj?"


"Hermia went for a walk and Aj said something about a girl called...Clarisse or Clarissa or something."River shrugged"I dont really pay attention to him."

 

"Is it really a good idea letting her walk around on her own with so many vampires around?" Lake enquired, looking slightly worried. "She's not exactly had our exposure to them, she might snap if someone jumps on her."

 

"Hmm...Good point."Mickey said "River...go get her."

 

"And quickly, I don't want to have to explain why someone got ripped up." Lake added onto Mickey's request.
