Childhood Friends.

Im not exactly sure if this has been posted before...I semi-checked.

Anyway, my question is: If you have had a childhood friend, for a long time, will you easily grow apart in the furture?
I ask this because I have had a very close friend since pre-school. Even though Im only in Middle School, we are growing apart, or at least I think so. And Im very worried because, its not me, its her. She is very stubborn too, and...Its just really worring (sp) me...So I was wondering if there was any percentages on how childhood friend ships last. Or just anything would be fine.

It happens to all of us. Actually, I had a group of friends in first school who I grew apart from, then I went through middle school hardly talking to them. Then in high school I went back to them and I still talk to them often.

But I have drifted from a lot of friends. It's sad.

 

There's no guaranty on a long lasting friendship. I've known my two best friends for a reasonable amount of time, one I met in 3rd grade and the other I met in 6th. But, I used to be extremely close to a girl that lives next door to me, and now we don't really even speak any more.

People grow up and personalities change, it can't really be helped. It all depends on how flexible you can be with each other.

I wish you the best with your friend situation though.

 

Yeah, I knew Nobody's Shadow since 2nd grade and now we barely speak anymore. I miss her D':

Well, realize, as long as you guys don't stop talking and stuff because of a fight, or something like that, you'll always be friends. I know so, because I have some friends I hardly ever talk to, but whenever we end up seeing each other, it's like we never stopped talking. :3

I've had the same friend since Preschool (I'm in 8th grade right now), and sometimes, yes, it does feel like we're growing apart, but maybe just wait until you have some classes with her or call her up to go somewhere with you.

 

Well....We dont go to the same schools.
The only school we ever went to that was the same was in Pre-schoo :/
Thats why im so worried.

Then I guess call her up and do something she likes. Maybe get her email address... A lot of friendships can grow and be preserved by email.

 

Yeah...I was talking to her on AIM but, she always goes places with her mom and she's gone :/
I think the main problem in our friendship is me liking Kingdom Hearts and Anime.
She hates it...And she wont really ignore the fact that I like it v.v

 

I did have a good friend throughout my childhood. However we stopped hanging out together once we reached middle school, its been five or more years and I really cant remember why we did. I believe that we had a fight or something, over what I'm not sure. I see him now at my highschool and haven't spoken to him once

 

It will happen eventually if your friend doesn't come up to you,it's something that it's hard to stop andif she really cares about you she'll come up to you and talk things out.


Time passes by and people get real immature,don't concentrate in just one friend,just go and have fun with other people.

No one else is like her....So its hard v.v
Everyone else is annoying..

 

I know how it feels, if she doesn't come up to you to talk things out then you should act if you want some change and if things don't work out then at least you got that off your chest.
