Like I mentioned earlier, if you want any specific look, ask before it's your turn on the wheel which I'm going around clockwise otherwise it's the avatar on the wheel that I'm gonna look at for a base.

Requested lab coat (perhaps unbuttoned slightly at the top to reveal a dress shirt and tie of whatever colors you see fit) and brown dress pants. Basically a doctor-ish look. Also, glasses please; people have compared my glasses to Harry Potter's, so if that serves as a good baseline, then yeah. ohwait ONE MORE THING. If you can get down into this much detail, two wrist bands (one red, one green) on my left wrist? I wear dat e'rryday.

Might start playing around with some BB/P4 sprites and see if I can't make... well, us. Those high-res sprites are usually more than I can handle, but I'll put my back into it.

I think that depending on your rank in the staff you get a slight change to your uniform. For example Mods get the three red bars on their uniform as shown in the Llave picture, but I was thinking maybe Super Mods should get like a fancy hat (possibly something in vain to this) or something with like a purple KH heart on said hat (huh, huh? Get it?) and maybe Admins get trenchcoats with a blue crown on the back of it.

But that's a suggestion and it's up for Jiku what to make them look like. :)

I was actually just gonna do person to person edits for the uniform while only keeping the colors consistent across all people. I also noticed that only two staff are on the wheel and both are regular sec mods so the rank thing should be moot. Anyhow, thanks for the feedback. Sfor-chan's will be up later today probably.

I don't see a list of confirmed NPC's anywhere so I assumed that was never going to be a thing that mattered. If you guys intend on using this stuff for a real part of the thing I guess I should go ahead and go all the way. However, if these are just references and extra like I thought they'd be, I'm not gonna do anything further since I'm sure you're all creative enough to handle it.



Also, guys in general, I don't have time to actually do a lot of spriting myself, but I've done a couple from scratch in the past and I can help out if anyone has any specific task/character they want help on I can do it.

 

For the VN side of things, NPC portraits would be pretty cool - but I can't tell you I've thought of any characters who'd specifically be recurring non-combatants, so I'm gonna say nah we don't need it that bad.

I think in general it's just. A daunting task none of us are very good at. It's the one hulking obstacle to this being a serious endeavor. If we had a gifted spriter on the boards I might already be talking about this like it's a work in progress, but... yeah, not so much.

 

I would suggest that Jiku could make a bunch of pictures then someone else turns them into sprites. The problem with that however is that Jiku would litterally have to draw a couple hundred images, and I doubt she has the time for that. Then we would need someone with, likely, a certain type computer program that can turn them into sprites proper, and I don't think we have anyone with that.

 

If I'm not mistaken that's pretty close to the actual process, if grossly oversimplified. No specific program is required to turn drawings into high-res sprites, but it basically has to be done by hand. So yeah, it takes a long time and a ton of effort.

 

I do believe you're right. Are we bad enough dudes to make this game a reality?
