Can we see the future by dreams?

I used to have these dreams. Took me a year to relaize that my short-term memories were being stored with my long-term memories.

 

Bit of a misconception there. Short-term memory, if desired (i.e. studying for a test) becomes integrated into long-term memory, and long-term memories, when recalled (i.e. remembering that test info), are brought into a type of short-term memory that then re-integrates the info back into long-term memory; in essence one can become the other depending on what is being experienced.

 

Well, that's what was said in a Psychology book I got to prepare for my Psychology class.

 

At face value long-term memory and short term memory are two different things. Our long-term memory mostly consists of both events that are encoded directly due to the strong associations we have with the sensory and perceptual experiences at the time it was encoded, or because you rehearsed something in short-term memory long enough for it to be consolidated. Short-term memory is fleeting and lasts about 30 seconds only; it is never stored. It just gets translated into long-term memory.

I know! Like when you're totally dreaming of like six guys fondling your hram and then you wake up the next morning and there they are demanding to touch your mitzrabtuk!

This has also happened to me alot.Also,when I go somewhere and a sequence of events happen,I feel like I have seen this beofre.But when.

Long time ago, when I was a little kid, I dreamt on the day before my birthday that Barney came to my birthday party and his foot fell off. The next day, my grandpa came dressed up as Barney and lost one of the boots to his costume.

In my opinion, you cannot beleive in it until you experience it first hand.
And i have.

When i was in elementary school, i had a dream that i was going to slip and fall on my head. Weeks later, after the dream; me and my friends were playing tag. I ran into the bathroom and ran out; but the floor was wet. Sure enough, i slipped and fell on my head. I couldn't think of anything else, but that night.

 

OMG I totally dream that common and likely occurrences are going to happen, and then when they do it's like OMG I'm ****ing psychic! I totally dreamed that I typed this, and look what's happening!!!

 

I read this last night, and went to sleep and had a dream that you would totally come back and make fun of this...

 

same here....it drives me insane, but I dont see how to fix it, xD

 

I know! It's tough finding out that your brain has ****** powers. We should all get together and sleep all day, and maybe the collective dreams of our team can be used to save the world.

 

I've heard that also if you dream in color that it was real.

 

I had many dreams before and alot of my dreams came true, its weired but cool.
