~: Camping Trip :~

She nodded slightly, pressing her face into his shoulder. "You won't break it, right?" she murmured, trying to sound brave and calm. Her papa had only promised two things, and nothing like this. Holding Rhone tightly, she shook her head. "You won't break it."

 

Rhone shook his head as well, "Of course not," he assured her, lowering his hands to her waist, "I won't break it. You can trust me, Aly, I won't hurt you." He took a deep breath and could smell her hair, she smelled like lakewater, and yet, he liked it. He smiled, his eyes closed.

 

Aly smiled a little, then tilted her head. "You smell like cinnamon." she informed him. "I like it, but did you shower with cinammon?" She pressed her face back into his chest, wanting to smell it more. Her dad had rarely let her try anything with spices, but cinnamon had been her favorite.

 

He chuckled, "I guess it's my natural scent, then." He wasn't wearing any cologne, but he was glad she liked it anyway. "You smell like lakewater," he said jokingly, "but in a good way." He wondered how long they were going to stand there in embrace, but he didn't feel like letting her go yet. Just a little while longer...

 

She blushed. "I'm glad. It's good." Opening her eyes and looking up at him, she smiled a little, not a full one. She hadn't fully smiled for years but today it had happened enough to count on one hand. "I would live in the lake if I could. It's so pretty there, and everything is balanced. Peaceful, almost." she thought for a second. "I'll have to show you sometime."

 

Rhone smiled, looking down into her eyes. "Speaking of pretty, you have a really nice smile. You should definitely do it more." He had barely stopped smiling since he met her. "And yeah, you should show me the lake," he said, especially since he didn't get to see it up close earlier, "It's a date, then." His face got a little red as he said it, but he was used to it now.

 

She blushed. "I've never had a reason to.." she murmured, then blushed a little more. "I hate to sound...stupid..but...what's a date?" she asked, genuinely curious, but feeling stupid. It must be something special, he was blushing too. The only thing she knew about relationships was from watching her father's TV when he was asleep.

 

Rhone raised an eyebrow, trying to think of a way to describe a date. She seems so innocent... but her innocence was part of the attraction to her. "Well, "It's a date" is actually just an expression but a date is...it's like...It's when two people hang out together, usually alone, when they like each other." As soon as the last words came out of his mouth, his stomach turned, making him nervous. DId he just admit he liked her?

 

She tilted her head, watching him. Was this an awkward subject? "So....they like each other....." she thought about this, biting her lower lip. "Do you want to have sex with me? That's what the people on the TV did, but I don't know if they really liked each other."

Rhone jumped again, letting go of her while scratching the back of his head, and looking around. All the blood in his body must have been concentrated in his face. "Uh, well, sex? Sometimes that follows a date...the thought hadn't crossed my mind...well if you want, wait, what am I saying?...I guess people who do it don't always like each-...I mean..." he had no idea how to answer. "It's a little soon for that," he finally said, bluntly.

BIC: Aly watched him, confusion clear on her face. "So......people do it, but they don't have to like each other but...." she shook her head. "I don't understand, but let's pretend I didn't ask. It seems kinda awkward." She smiled tenatively.

 

Rhone was still blushing, he almost asked if she wanted to since she asked, but instead said, "Yeah...it is an awkard subject..." Well, when in this situation anyway... He took a step toward her, instinctively grabbing her hand. "Come on, we're almost at the cabin," he said smiling. I wonder what she would have said if I answered yes..

OOC: I dun know @_@ I was waiting for him, but he like......flamed away.

BIC: She flinched lightly at the sudden contact, then smiled a little, tightening her grip on his hand. "Okay. Are you sure it's okay staying with you guys?" she asked, still a little hesitant. The guys on TV had been this nice for one reason, but then again, they hadn't been teenagers at a summer camp.

 

OOC: Ha the flame went out...lame joke
BIC: Rhone nodded, "Of course, otherwise we wouldn't have invited you to." He realized she was staying with them, even though he had said it was if there was no other cabin. He smiled, happy about it. "I mean, if you still want to anyway..."

BIC: Aly smiled a little. "I have only the lake to go back to. I still want to at least try it." She had never really slept under those roof things, only fixed them up. Papa hadn't wanted her in the house, he thought she stole things.

 

He kept smiling, happy she was staying with them after all. "Well, you're lucky then. You get your own choice of bottom bunk or top bunk," he said, tugging her hand playfully. He was a little worried how camp would be for her with no bags or anything, but he was sure she could manage, with help from him and Jasped, of course.

 

She tilted her head. "...Bunk? That's a bed type thing, right?" she thought for a bit, trying to remember. "Can I....have the bottom one?" That way it would be easier to hide things. She smiled a little, then stopped, looking around. "This place is always so...heavy." she murmrued. She never got used to it.

Rhone nodded. "Yeah, you can have the bottom bunk of the unoccupied one or you can sleep under me, I mean the bottom bunk of my bed!" Bad choice of words.... he thought. He then raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean, heavy?"

 

She blushed, holding back a laugh. A laugh. Her, laughing. Interesting day. "It just...like something's up. Like you know when you were a kid, there were times when you thought there was something under your bed, or blankets. That kind of feeling."
