Well, my family has decided that we are going to put our 14 year old cat to sleep tomorrow. I've had him since I was 2, and while he has been and pain, he is still going to be missed(well, missed by me. My parents are going to be glad he's gone). He's really sick, and he won't eat anything, so he's really thin and barely moves. Here are some pictures of him. I took these only a few hours ago.
And my parents won't get another cat. I don't find it right to lose a pet and not get another one. It's like leaving a void in the family, something needs to fill it
Ah, I feel real sorry for you. Losing a pet is always going to be hard; they're a big part of your lives. Be happy that he lived a long life, much longer than most pets.
This is actually the 3rd animal I've lost. We sold 2 dogs before. The first we only kept for a few months, and the second we had to sell because we didn't have enough space in the house. Not fun at all
OMG It's soo cute :( I'm so sorry for your lose. When I was in 2nd grade my dog Princess that my family had had before I was born died and I think it was the saddest day of my life... Still is... Oh Crap here comes the water works...
Think of it this way. If you died and your parents had another kid to replace you. It isn't right for one thing. That and good pets can never be replaced. My dog for example. She was the best dog ever and we did not get a new one.
Replaced pro8a8ly isn't the right word, no. Even so, there could 8e merits to getting another cat. One thing to consider is your age and your parents' ages. If you were to get a new cat, you'd pro8a8ly have moved out of the house 8efore it also passed on, meaning that your parents would 8e left looking after a cat that they don't entirely want. That said, it could possi8ly 8e dealt with if you were to get an already-matured cat.
True that was probably not the best word but it was to get my point across. I guess it just depends on the animal.
you can't really replace a pet after it's gone. It's more like getting another to make it more familiar, since I've lived with 2 cats my whole life, it would seem strange if I didn't have 2 again. Actually for me, I just liked having a pet, as long as it's a cat or dog, both is good for me
