Bring Sasuke back!

"That wasnt so bad for a first try!"Naruto said,encouraging Michiko.
"Get up and try again..as a Uchiha,you have alot to live up too..''Sasuke said,who was standing behind Naruto the entire time.
Naruto jumped in surprise."You've got to stop doing that..''

 

Hinata squeeked at Sasuke's appearence. She covered her mouth and blushed, embarrassed.

Hatusmi was happy that Sasuke had been watching, but she kept quiet, not wanting to distact Michiko.

Michiko stood shakily. "I don't want to try again... I'll just fall..."

 

"Your dissapointing me..but then again im forgetting who your mother is..''Sasuke mumbled.
Naruto turned to Sasuke in outrage."Hey!that isnt nice,what did Rukia-san--''
"Shut up Naruto..im teaching..''Sasuke muttered angrily.
Naruto stayed quiet,but clenched his fists in anger.

 

Hatusmi looked back and forth between Naruto and Sasuke. What do they mean...?


Michiko didn't want to be a disappointment to her father. She wanted to show both him and Hatusmi that she could climb a tree. She wanted to do it better than Hatsumi had done. But she didn't have the guts to try. Her eye shimmered with tears. She lowered her head so no one would see.

I guess Sasuke-kun and Rukia-san still aren't getting along... Hinata thought soberly.

 

"Michiko...you know how to do it,so get up there and do it,no one can get everything on their first try..''Sasuke said,being a little nicer this time."Unlike your mother,im the one who's going to teach you to be strong..''

 

Michiko wiped her eyes. "O-okay..."

Hinata half-smiled. I'm glad she's willing to try again.

Hatsumi scootched over on her branch to make room for Michiko.

Michiko formed the hand sign, focused her chakra to her feet and tried again. Surprisingly she got to where Hatsumi was, but she lost her footing.

Hatsumi grabbed Michiko's hand and hoisted her up next to her. She... But... But that was only her second try! How did she do it?!

Hinata smiled. "Good job."

 

Sasuke smiled."That's my girl..but next time you have to get to the very top,ok?''

 

Michiko beamed. "Okay!"

Hatsumi folded her arms. That's not fair... Why did she do better than me?

Rukia walked back to the Uchiha estate, arms wrapped tightly around her stomach as she cried.

"Come down,Sakura is making dinner and im sure you dont want to miss it..''Sasuke opened his arms for them to fall in.
Naruto licked his lips,dinner sounded good about now."Hinata''he turned to face her."Can you...cook for me?''he asked.

 

Hinata nodded. "Of course." She smiled.

Hatsumi jumped first.

Michiko hesitated.

"Hurry up!" Hatsumi called.

Michiko shut her eyes and jumped.

Hearing Rukia come in, Sakura called a hello.

Rukia didn't answer. She went to her room, closed her door, and flopped onto her bed, buiring her face in her pillow.

Sasuke caught them both and ran home together with them,he was an hungry as they were.
Naruto watched them go and faced Hinata."..Ready?''he asked,giving her a soft kiss on the lips before she finished.

"Y-yeah." Hinata's cheeks turned a soft pink.

I wonder what happened. Sakura thought as she put the food on plates. I'll talk to her after dinner if she doesn't come down.

 

Naruto gently grabbed her hand and began leading her home."So,what kind of stuff can you make?''
Sasuke entered the Uchiha estate and let the kids run past him."We're home..''he called to Sakura.

 

"Um, almost anything." Hinata said. "Though, I might need a book for some things."

"How'd it go?" Sakura asked, placing the plates on the table.

Michiko smiled. "I got up to Hatsumi on the second try!"

Hatsumi folded her arms. "It was just luck..."

 

"Can I help?..''Naruto asked,though letting him help may be a bad idea,he WAS Naruto afterall.

Sasuke looked around."Did Rukia come home?''he asked

 

"Yes, but..." Sakura sighed. "I think it's best to leave her alone for now."

"What happened?" Michiko asked.

"I'm not sure." Sakura admitted.

"It's okay." Hinata said. Letting Naruto near a stove or oven could be dangerous.

 

I'll go see her with Michiko after dinner..when's the last time she looked at her own daughter?''Sasuke asked himself angrily,feeling that Rukia was neglecting their child.
"Ok!"Naruto then grabbed her hand tightly and began running home.

 

Rukia came down the stairs slowly. Her eyes were bloodshot and her hair was sloppily put up in a bun.

"Are you okay?" Sakura asked kindly.

Rukia nodded solemly.

Michiko tugged on the end of Rukia's jounin vest. "What happened?"

Rukia looked down at Michiko sadly. She knelt and placed her hands on Michiko's shoulders. "What do you say to a walk with me after dinner?"

"M'kay." Michiko smiled.

Rukia embraced Michiko, trying hard to hold back more tears. "I'm sorry I haven't been here for you." She said softly.

Sakura looked at Sasuke.

Hatsumi moved her foot in a circle. She still hasn't said what happened.

"Slow down, Naruto-kun!" Hinata said with a bit of a laugh.

 

You should be..Sasuke,thought,but questioned her sadness,something must have happened with Kiba.
Naruto skid to a halt and looked at Hinata."Hey..since Hatsumi isnt with us..''Naruto blushed."Well,today we did reall good with the girls..do you think we could be like that..with a child of our own?''he asked.

 

Hinata's cheeks lit. "I... I think so..."

"I'm hungry!" Hatsumi said, getting antsy. "Can we eat now?"

Rukia stood. "I'll pass. I've got to brief my team about our mission tomorrow." Rukia gave Michiko an apologetic smile and then left. She knew she'd be early to meet her team, but she wanted to be by herself for a bit before having to get into sensei roll. She fixed her hair along the way.

Michiko sighed.
