Well, it's matter of state if the girl is even pretty, any girl could be
taken but it's not attractive, it's more like there the settle kind.

I don't think anyone would think a girl is attractive if there calling themselves ugly & stupid. That's a person who has a low self-esteem; also

I don't think it's cool to wear your pants hanging near the crack of your ass,
some ppl think it's a style, but it mostly has something to do with gang
    activity. That's more logical.

    This.

If a girl says she's taken, I don't really find that more attractive. Some guys may but usually to me that means she's taken so not available and I'm not into sharing. People, either male or female, that are into sharing are the non-committal type, at least with the second partners etc. There are men and women that are into trying to get with someone that is already with someone else. Otherwise there wouldn't be so much cheating going on. xD

Self depreciation is not attractive. It's lame to most of us. Either we want to help someone feel better about herself ...or to be honest, she's an easy lay because all you have to do is pick up her morale. So she feels better till a guy dumps her again, and the guy got some sex until he can't take her negative depressing attitude anymore. If the girl's attitude changes, maybe the guy would stay but really, the way to get a guy to really notice you and turn his head is to have a strong sense of self-confidence, but at the same time not be an overbearing arrogant diva b type. A girl who holds her chin up, acts amiable and has a good sense of self is much more attractive than a pessimistic depressed chick. Depressed girls are just easy in the opinions of many guys.

I wear baggy pants but not down my ass. I like to be able to do physical activities and not have pants tripping me up. I find the fashion to be lame and well, I know where it originates from. Guys in prison that wore their pants down were actually saying they were 'available' for butt sechs. No joke. So yeah, it's not a fashion for me.

For Christ sake just be honest. Just tell the ****ing truth because in the end you just confuse them. Remember, he's nit-picking about meaningless things as much as you are, so it doesn't help when you make stuff up.

Yes. People that are taken have an advantage over singles. They are considered more intriguing. It is a well-known fact among psychologists and sexuologists.

No, that's called "fishing for compliments".

This isn't a fact it's a variable. Some people are intrigued by others in relationships, others catch wind of it and then move on. It depends on the individual. There's no relative advantage over whether or not you're paired.

i don't find girls saying they are taken more attractive, it actually makes me feel VERY disappointed when that happens. and i dont' think it's attracting when girls insult themselves, i mean if it were jokingly, sure, but if they're serious about it, i would think they are weird.

and the pants thing.......i hate people who do that as well. i wish they would wear a damn belt. boys AND girls. i remember a girl on the bus had her butt partially exposed and then someone put a pen in her crack and to be honest, it WAS kinda funny. i'm with you on the pants thing :)

If it has an benevolent effect on some people, and a neutral effect on others, then you do have a relative advantage.
Granted, it will probably have a negative effect on a third group of people as well. Perhaps being with someone frightens less bold or brave characters.
    Guess it might balance out.

i guess it differs then O.o
Cause if i heard a girl was taken then i wouldn't keep asking them out (who would do that)

i guess its one of those annoying feelings where you wan't what you can't have

Some people like to try to get with someone already taken as it means the person is valued by someone else. It also means that they owe no commitment so they can do whatever and leave when they want and what's the 'taken' person going to do about it. Also, on the same note, there are men and women that are 'taken' and do look for others who want to do something on the side. There are all sorts of different men and women and really it's not so safe to judge someone just by 'gender' because both sides do screwy things.

Boys my darlings I have a question for you <3

What do you do to show a girl you like her with out directly flirting? Because I think my friend might actually like me more than a friend and Im very confused at the moment. I <3 you all!

I would guess, depending on your age group, buying you things and playing it off like "Oh hey, naw it's no big deal, you just mentioned wanting <blank> and I saw it for a good price". Then theres just tests of how much he likes being around you, like if he can hold an AIM/MSN conversation with you for hours on end, chances are he likes you enough to not blow off talking to you, and shows he puts in effort to hold up a conversation with you. Then in person, theres doing small nice things for you, nonchalant physical contact like touching your hair, poking your side playfully, etc.

Honestly it really depends on the person's personality.

it's simple: i put it out there, like invite them to the movies or something or just eat lunch with them or something like that. i'm sure not everyone does it like that though, but i just show that i'm fond of them. and sometimes i end up blushing in their presense unintentionally and when i realize my face is kinda red i kinda get embarassed >.> so look for that too

In what way does it provide an advantage if the person it doesn't effect just moves on, and the person it effects keeps trying only to be shot down? Or if both people don't care?

There's no advantage over anyone. If someone who isn't interested in people who are already taken finds out that the girl or guy is taken they've lost nothing and they've gained nothing. If someone is interested in people who are dating someone at the time finds out that a girl/guy is dating someone they haven't gained any advantage either. If anything they'll come off as a ******bag for trying anything while he/she is in the relationship. And that just makes things worse.

First question ~ If you don't know the bf or aren't close to them in any way, then it can be kind of attractive. I've never done anything like that because it's sort of against my principles, and I have a gf.
But, I have thought about it before... ;>>

Second question ~ Attractive? No. Pointless and unattractive? Yes.
I don't know about you other guys, but I prefer a girl with a little self esteem. Calling themselves all those names is pretty annoying.

Third question ~ Hehehe. I sometimes do that. Rarely, though. However, I honestly don't know why. It's just something me and my friends do. If it's not that, then it's a belt with the pants a little lower than the waist. ;)

I meant that you have an overall advantage; either being with someone helps you or it does nothing but it does not hurt (unless you like the shy type, in which case it is not recommended).

That is true, but it does not have to be a date or girlfriend you have to be with. Any female in your entourage will do, so to speak.
A guy with many female friends has an overall advantage over a guy who doesn't have any or few. A lot of girls like him, so he has to have a certain charisma, a certain "something" that appeals to girls.
That's the line of thinking that many girls (subconsciously or not) follow. That's what I meant from the very beginning.
Besides, having a lot of female friends helps a guy to come in contact with relatively more girls than a loner or someone who has exclusively guy friends.
Maybe I should have put it like that in the first place. The whole "guys that are taken" was rather confusing. My apologies.

even though i'm a girl, i have a lot of guy friends, lol
but i can't tell if they only want me to be friends with them, or if they want me cause of my body. How could you be able to tell something like that?

As for why some guys wear their jeans halfway down their ass, most of the guys i know that do that are insecure and dont have another way of getting a girl's attention, :P

I'd tell you that most guys... if they are rather touchy feely to a girl, poking her too much, or touching her or eying her a lot, that's a good clue that he's just out for sex. Also, if he gives you lame lines for attention and flirts a lot. If a guy likes you for more than that, he's going to be more respectful and know his boundaries and may even seem kind of shy around you. If a guy just wants to be your friend, he may just well... act like a friend. It is harder really at times to tell if a guy likes a girl a lot or just wants her to be friends than it is to tell if some guy is just out for your body in the end, because a guy who really likes a girl will also want her to be known to him. I would say in that case, think on the questions he asks and if he hangs around the girl a lot, when instead he could be doing something else. Hope that helps. It's really not easy all the time to distinguish except to say if a guy just likes a girl because she's hot. I find the same problem seems to exist with knowing whether a girl likes me or not in some way. heh.
