Boarding School

Amused, Alyce watched Jake disappear down the road shouting happily.

She turned to the stranger who had been watching them, and who also probably felt awkward watching the two of them. "I haven't met you yet...I don't think."

 

"nope! my name is Angle and uprobly know my bro as the futur villige ideot!!!"

*starts to giggle*

 

"Future village idiot?" Alyce blinked. I need to get some sleep...I really need to get some sleep.

 

"ok if ur sleepy then bye" she said with a grin

Clara walked through the school heading towards her dorm. She was facing the floor hoping not to catch anyone's attention. She swiftly walked past people, her bag over her shoulder desperate to get some rest.

 

Alyce nodded and gave a faint wave before disappearing into her dorm, barely avoiding slamming into another girl moving towards the dorms.

Finally reaching her dorm, she quickly made it over to her bed and fell asleep.

 

Jacob was used to waking up early and he was up to watch the sunrise the next morning.
His dorm was one of the cheapest, one without any windows, so he had to step outside to see it, sitting on the small fountain in the school court-yard.

 

Alyce sighed as she looked over at the clock. Too early for her to be up, but she was too awake to go back to sleep. Shrugging, she got up, embarrasedly realized she'd fallen asleep in her clothes. She quickly changed, before heading outside to find something to do.

 

Jacob leaned against the fountain, picking at a pack of half stale ritz crackers. He tossed a few to the pigeons gathered around him, watching them scatter and flap for the crumbs.

 

Alyce walked around for a few minutes, before deciding to head towards the courtyard. If anyone was up, they were probably there.

 

Jake closed his eyes, just resting a little, letting the sun warm his face and soak up his stress in the orange light.

 

Finally reaching the fountain, Alyce noticed Jake sitting against the fountain resting and grinned. She quietly snuck up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder. "Morning, motorcycle boy. I didn't know you actually ever slept."

 

Jacob jumped, almost falling into the fountain. He spun around but when he saw it was her, he relaxed.
"Don't do that...you surprised me."
He sighed, sitting back down with a smirk. "And i don't sleep, I rest."

 

"But what's the fun in life if you can't scare people?" Alyce smiled brightly. "How do you live if you don't ever sleep? Are you a vampire or something?"

 

Jacob smiled at her, eyes sparkling. "Yeah. You better not get too close. I might bite you." He joked with a small laugh, rolling his eyes. "And I wasn't scared. I was surprised."

 

"Sure you weren't scared...you were so not scared that you almost fell in the fountain." Alyce smiled smugly.

"You know, your girlfriend is probably pretty jealous that a beautiful girl is getting motorcycle rides from you." she teased.

 

"My...girlfriend?" Jake raised an eyebrow at her. "Who's that and why don't I know I have a girlfriend?"

 

Alyce shrugged. "I don't know...I just thought a handsome teen with a motorcycle would have a girlfriend by now...I guess not."

 

Jake's face went red and he pulled another cracker from the package, nibbling at it. "I've had a few offers but...no one that was...the right girl...maybe things will be different in this school though." He winked. "Who knows?"
He smiled at her, offering her a cracker.
