I think that Ventus was just wiped from everyone's memory. simple as that because not even Mickey pointed this out unless the letter mentions Ventus

 

I think memory is going to play an important role in why nothing has come up from BBS in the rest of the series yet. Isn't coded still going on? Nomura hinted that the end of coded would tie in with BBS and the secret ending. I'm that whatever happens in the end of coded triggers everyone's lost memories of BBS. Thus Mickey writes the letter to the Destiny Islands trio.

 

Coded is still going on despite the "7 episodes" thing. There is one more world after Hollow Bastion. As for the Memory I think it is basically a Xion thing which could explain Ventus not being mentioned. However there is the problem with Xigbar being able to see Xion as Ventus so that crashes the whole theory unless Xion being almost complete had to do with it. just a thought.

From what I've seen, I don't think memories play a very important role in BBS, seeing as the theme of this game is "bonds". From the looks of it, I don't think Ven goes under much of any "memory washing," at least I haven't seen any. Also, consider this; does Mickey even know what Roxas looks like? They don't seem to be mentioned for the simple appearance that their influence isn't obvious. That's the way I see it, anyway.

I don't think Ventus was wiped from everyone's memory because Aqua mentions him during the scene in dark meridan, which takes place after KH2
