Oh man the teaser was awesome. Not going to discuss in detail, but I wish I went to Comic Con.

 

The "Red Panda" is a fire ferret, and "Aang and Katara" is actually Tenzin and his unnamed wife

 

dang, I surprised at how fit they're making Korra. I mean, she looks stronger than Sokka. Although, I don't think that's saying much. But isn't that old guy supposed to be Aangs son?

I mean yeah. She looks impressively fit. I like how much they're differentiating her from Aang

 

T.T I didn't mean to upset anyone.

But I wonder if they're going to give her a bit of a backstory throughout the show kinda like what they did with Aang, to explain of bit of what she's like and all that. And I wonder if they're making her like that exactly because they wanted to differentiate her from Aang. Try making her like a polar opposite

 

I believe they said they were going to do flashbacks and things to sort of cover the time gap.
And yeah, she's been described as hot-headed and aggressive, basically not Aang at all. xD

Also don't know if anyone's brought it up, but the release has evidently been pushed back to "mid-2012".

 

Dee Bradley Baker confirmed that his daughter is doing the voice of a young Korra, so there will be some backstory.

 

yeah, I read about that. "Hot-headed, aggressive, ready to take on the world" things like that.
But how much time do you need to make this? I know it takes a long time, but that's basically a whole year from now

 

If the actual art style is anything like in the trailer (WHICH WAS BEAUTIFUL) then it'll take a while. Plus they're doing more episodes than they previously thought

 

supposedly they planned for 12, and then they added 14 more, so right now it's at 26. Who knows if they'll add more, since they haven't even started airing yet. But yeah, if it's like the trailer, I'll feel like a kid again, because a lot of art styles in animations these days suck

 

If they do add more, it will have to depend on how many kids/teens/adults tune in to watch the show and the reruns. Depending on how they do it, I'd love to see a lot more than the usual 26 episodes a show gets nowadays. It just doesn't seem like enough time to do anything, ya know?

 

no kidding. Things with 26 episodes usually go straight to the point for things, and then they just kinda end it on a cliff hanger. I speak of course of Kaze No Stigma

 

It really depends on the depth of the world in a show for the episodes that you'd need for it to explore itself. With this we know the locations as they where in the past, but things have changed so maybe the 26 episodes will focus on the changes. Maybe they'll get a second season. Who knows at this point. I'd like for them to get a second season if possible, I do like Avatar.

 

Judging from the scenes of the city, it looks to be a modern city. But I would like to know Korra's story, it looks like she was kicked out of the Water Tribe or something because she was the Avatar. But can't wait to see more.

I can't wait for this. Nick needs more good series like Avatar, as it's gone more to the mainstream garbage nowadays.

This big plot twist could be quite good for a bit of background information. Maybe a little narration like in the opening sequence of the first series?

 

As an Avatar fan, I have to say I'm real excited for this series to come out, I know it's a plot in all but I seriously hope they decide to add more episodes. From what I see out. It sounds like Korra sounds like another Toph.

 

Oh my god YES.

HOLY CRAP NO WAY. I'm so excited. I can't wait to see all the changes and happenings after the war ended. Maybe Zuko had kids too and everyone would come together for a playdate. Yes.
