I don't mind swear words or consider them 'swear' words for the most part. I don't really like racist rude words though or when someone is using cuss words directed at a person specifically. Mostly though I just ignore it as I say cuss words myself in jokes or if I'm angry. I just use them how I feel conveys the message and try to not say them in ways that totally cut someone down.

Someone also mentioned above the old argument I've had with so many people about the difference between calling someone a 'poopie head' or some other sort of name rather than using the 'swear' words. To me it is also the same thing.

They offend me if they are used in a way to offend me. Other than that I don't mind really.

I swear almost all the ****ing time. I love doing it because it makes some people uncomfortable :3

I love all the swear words, and the rascist ones too.

Nope...I use them all the time...and I really don't give a damn if it makes anyone uncomfortable...because if they don't want to hear it, then they need to adapt, because life isn't always like it is at home...

It really depends. I dont care if they are used around me or at me, but when some idiot comes and calls my friends stuff, it makes me mad and then i go and beat the dude up.

    Well..
    it depends.
For example, where I live, people call their friends "son of a b-" and "aszho-" in a friendly way.
Also,I dont find it offensive when MY friends call me a bit-- or ska--,but if its a stranger..its another story.
Actually I really dont care if a stranger calls me a who-or something.

You see, I wonder why they're called cuss/swear words though, because saying "You're a ****tard" is the same as saying you're a "******" just kids have been brought up to take **** more seriously....

I have to admit before I turned Christain I was swearing all the time and one of my friends couldn't stand it and then another one of them said they wouldn't speak to me for the rest of the day if I swore infront of her again. It was funny. I don't anym ore. When people insult me using them when they are serious then I get offended but not otherwise.

I think that because people kinda overuse such words they've lost their meaning to me. I don't really let stuff like that bug me anymore. =P

When I hear them, they stand out, but I've been desensitized to them, so they don't really offend me.
