"Sprothe" is a meme Absol and I generated a while back from a new member's post in the Help section, which read simply, "I can not bet sprothe." The misspelling struck me with such hilarity that I immediately sigquoted it and shared it with a few people. Absol then made a thread about it in the spam section, and it took off. We got a small chunk of the forum in on the act, and eventually Sprothe ceased to be a person and became an entire language; the names of any character or important plot detail from either Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy VII can be transformed, either by scrambling a word or mixing the letters around or tossing some out entirely, into a Sprothe-like item. Names in the style of Sprothe are considered to denote characters separate from their originals, e.g., Clod is Clod, not Cloud. Some of the more iconic phrases include "Only Clod can bet Sprothe" and "Sprothe smuons Metor" (not to be confused with his moter, who is Jenvoa).
