Any piano players?

Yeahh piano lessons are scary priced.Especially during the economy crisis going on right now:Resession.

I just started playing What's This? from The Nightmare Before Christmas, and I'm working on finishing up Homage for InuYasha. I'm gonna attempt to put up a full version of Amaranth and Homage for InuYasha if my camera likes me. xD;;

i like piano. ive alwayz wanted to play it but i guess i was never committed.

 

I can play by ear, and also with sheet music. I quit lessons last year, but I still play once in a while. I like to figure out songs by ear, instead of being handed music to play.

 

I used to play the piano...when I was 7 x3.

It just got too fustrating 'cause I sucked at it so I started learning teh drums. :D

 

I played the piano and learnt for a year by i just wasn't into it and stopped.

 

I've been taking piano lessons since I was 4 or 5. I haven't been doing it much lately, though. My mom teaches me whenever I feel like having a lesson and she has time, but those moments are rare. I've been trying to play "Pachelbel Meets U2" by Jon Schmidt, but it's really hard and I don't have much patience. :lol: Yeah, it's pretty sad.

 

I've got super long fingers, so of course I had to take piano - five years now... my first teacher was crap though :B(:
Right now I'm working on Beethoven's 'Pathetique' Sonata. It's so purdy <3

 

I play piano. Its frustrating at times but I like it. I still can't play too well with both hands though... :lolface: I'm trying to play God Knows from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

 

I play a little, mainly pop songs, sometimes I (try to) accompany myself when I'm practicing my choirs songs...
I've never taken lessons, but I'll ask for help from my dad, since he's a piano-teacher.

 

I like to play the piano.
It's fun making your own stuff anyhow.

 

I'm still learning...again. I can play dearly beloved on the piano but I make mistakes now and then

 

I think this is my...eleventh year playing?

Anyway. I guess I've sort of improved since the start of summer, I'm not tripping over notes when I play faster songs anymore.

I also figure out how to play various songs still, mainly from KH or Legend of Zelda, but I figured out most of the theme from the original Transformers movie, Linkin Park's New Divide, and some of Red's Nothing & Everything.
Might go back to some Nightwish if I can find the sheets.

 

Hey, I suggest you start taking lessons again. I used to take lessons, but not I'm playing by ear and teaching myself. I'm really good, but if I had a chance I would like to take lessons again. People pay you more if you can read music depending on who hires you.

 

When I was really little I took piano lessons and I still have all of the books so I'm starting to re-teach myself haha it's harder than it looks =P

 

My Mom plays piano, and my uncle, and my cousin (Whos on this site). But, I can't, I tried sometimes, but I can't get the finger stance right and gets me sqiuish.

 

One thing I have always wanted to learn is the piano. I can't bring myself to go to lessons though xD

c: I teach myself bits and bobs from the piano... Recently I had just nailed the Trollolololol base theme, and now I'm trying to go for a more complicated version of it. xD I'm just basically using my musical ear to get the sounds just about right.
