I also thought that I should leave this here for the people who want to know more about the bill because it seems like most of the press outside of Japan isn't quite getting the whole picture of what the bill actually does.

So it'll create a wide division between children's anime, like Pokémon, and older anime. It'll be the shounen/shoujo section that's hit the hardest. It'll be forced to reduce the violence greatly, or go up into seinen level. Seinen should still be fine though, and that's where the real gems lie.
