An angel's fight.

Devlin shuffled her closer to the school and Eden nervously smoothed her white dress, "I wish my parents were here to see this. All these kids with their parents kinda makes me sad." Devlin brushed her cheek with his hand and shifted his jacket around her shoulders, "At least you've got me. My mom didn't even want to come. Something about a yoga class being much more important than me."

 

OOC: Parents as well? Fun.

Ashley looked up at Maya, wondering if she had more idea what was goin to happen here.

Eliza looked out of the window at the new students coming in, she sighed. She didn't like this new light/dark thing, it was manipulating the students and causing good kids to go bad. She just hoped her grandchild ended up on the right side.

 

Maya noticed Ashley looking at her and gave her a friendly smile. "Umm, hi, I'm Maya, nice to meet you."

Nick moved closer to the school, scanning it carefully.

Yuri and Melody both walked outside, arguing about who would talk to the kids about the new system, barely noticing Nick right beside them

 

Ashley smiled back, suprised that Maya had noticed her, "Oh, hi. My name's Ashley, it's great to meet you too"

Lucas watch the two girls with his calm, calculating eyes, assessing everything around him.

 

"Do your parents work here too?" Maya asked, noticing Lucas a bit away and giving him a small wave

Nick stared at his dad and his aunt sceptically, why were they always fighting?!

 

Ashley shook her head, "Well, not my parents but my Grandma and aunt do. How about you?"

Lucas smiled slightly, a little off put that she'd noticed him though his face didn't show this. He conisidered running and having a little fun with this, but he decided against it and forced himself to keep going at this slow pace.

 

Devlin hustled Eden closer to a group of kids when his mother stepped out of the school, "M-mom?" Sorcha smiled at her son and waved, "Morning Dev, Eden."

Eden had always liked Sorcha but she was curious about her job now. Devlin pushed Eden into a girl.

Eden brushed her hair back and turned red as she overheard the girl's name was Ashley, "S-sorry."

 

"Yeah, My mum, my dad, my grandmother, my great grandmother and my great uncle" She replied.

 

"Heath....what're we gonna do?"

"He shrugged

 

"C'mon, Melz! Just let me do it!"
"Grr! you're such an arse, Yuri!"
"So is that a yes?"
"Fat chance!"

Nick sighed heavily, he could shut them up but....maybe it would be more fun to let them fight.
He noticed two other kids that looked a bit lonesome. He walked by Yuri and Melody quickly before stopping beside the boy who was called "Heath"
"Hey, what are your names?" He asked

 

"Heath and thats my sister Felica..."he said

 

"Do any of your relatives work here?"

Maya noticed her mother bickering with her uncle. "Figures" She muttered.

 

Grandpa and Aunt...."

 

Nick nodded, "Do you know anything about this place? Is it really true that we will get split into Good and Bad?"

 

"Our parents didnt explain...they just told us what we were....or half of what we were."

 

"What do you mean by 'half'?"

 

Ashley fell forward a little, but turned to Eden smiling, "It's fine, don't worry about it. You new here too? I'm Ashley, what's your name?" She kept listening to the others as she talked to Eden.

Lucas decided to get involved, he calmly walked close to them and broke his silence, "You don't know? We're here because only one of our parents was an angel, half of what we are"

 

Nick turned to Lucas. "That makes sense"

Maya wandered away from the group and into the school.

"C'mon Melz! I should be the one to do it!"
"Yuri, the only person who should do it is someone responsible."
"You're looking at him.."
"I meant the head or Toby!"

 

Lucas nodded, "Yeah" He allowed his eyes to wander back up to the school building.

Katryn walked over to the two arguing, "Hey guys, you do realise the entire school can hear you? Not exactly the best impressions for the new students, it's bad enough for the with this new system, without you two killing each other"

 

"Exactly...only half."
