Video AMV Help Thread

I can't picure DMC all that well. it would need to be a bit more gothic, but I do see Naruto, I think I will do it on the new Naruto series (as more episodes come out of course). Thank you, I was debating using that.

 

Ok, this is mainly for Sony Vegas experts or anyone who knows how to do this.

How do you have a black border around your video? I want to cut out subtitles and stuff but I dont know how.

 

You use the crop feature, right click the clip and select the crop option, then hold Ctrl (I believe) and crop out the top and bottom half. That might be wrong but it's something like that.

 

Thanks, Darkandroid. That helps alot for my AMV's since they can be quite distracting.

 

how do ya make a video of your own

if you have windows movie maker the you can download vid clips from here and stream them together to make a kh amv
or use clips you have taken w/ur camera

 

This really should be asked in the AMV Help Topic in the Creativity Part but oh well.

It depends on your software. As you already know there are different types of video format (wmw, rm, avi). You can import a clip/video into the software and start trimming it.

The same goes with music though MPEG-4 dosent seem to work on WMM.

If you use posturize, grayscale, and the other effect the reduces colors, you get a 5- color grayscale that looks cool. Or if you take away grayscale you get a bright, low-bit color effect that also looks cool. I used it on my 'Fallen' amv that's on youtube.

 

i made amv but i tried to upload it to youtube and it said invalid file format

 

You probally haven't saved it as a Movie file yet.

It's different from saving the project - press the little "file" button, and there's thins thing called "Save Movie File" and when you finish pressing the next button a lot of times (cuz that's basically all you have to do... XD) it'll be saved as a wwm file...

Then you can upload it to YouTube.

Yes, you can but be sure to say where you got it from.

You cant just use them from youtube since most videos are fan made.You gotta ask the permission of the creator.And to get youtube videos and download them.You gotta have Mozilla Firefox,and the plug-in(forgot whats it called)and download the freeware FLV Player.

This isn't a place to advertise your AMV's. If you want C'n'C on them make a thread in this area.

This is for general help with AMV's.

 

You don't need firefox... you can use any internet browser. Just download a .flv player or a video converter, after using any Youtube downloader.

 

I'll move this to it's respective area now, there is a videos subsection.
