That largely depends on the drug in question, to my understanding. Not all drugs are are all *that* (see: that) harmful.

Anyway, I've always been kind of surprised at how clean my school is. I've never heard of a single pregnancy, incident of drug use, alcohol accident, nothing.

I do know all my classmates get drunk as balls during parties though. I've never seen it personally, I like to keep to myself.

I hate that, like all the time... My friend hooked up with some guy from town, and like after the second day, she brags about it at school. She's like
"Oh my god, we had sex :'D"
    and i'm like.....
    "STFU whore..."

i mean like srsly... after two ****ing days.... :/ to be honest, i don't really like her, but i guess we're friends...

Please. You honestly think they are being serious? They just think it sounds cool, they are away from their parents (at least, during the day), and so they say things like that to get a specific reaction. Specifically, they want you to idolize them cause they are "so mature" that they actually have sex and ****, yet they know that they probably won't get any till they are like 20+. Ignore them. Once they hit college age, they stick to the truth. If they don't do drugs then, they don't say they do. Trust me. I know.

i am bothered by it too, but it is only a minor annoyance for me. most of them are either exaggerating or lying anyways. and the teacher thing, very nasty, i remember a teacher in high school telling the class about "his first time" and something bout the girl who kept saying "what are you thinking about now?" but it seems like causual teacher interaction with students is becoming something more and more acceptable like when teachers and students add each other on Myspace. i remember a new rule made by my city that prohibits teachers from contacting students through social networks (like facebook or Myspace) and through instant messaging because it is deemed to be unprofessional which i agree with.

I really don't care how and how much they talk about sex, drugs and alcohol.
Most of it isn't to be taken seriously anyway.
As long as they don't push others into sharing their stories, I don't mind.
Of course, if people start talking behind your back because of it, or if people lose faith in your sense of responsibility because of your big mouth, you have only yourself to blame and it'd be too late to come crawling back.

If someone is usually talking to me to warn me about it, then that's okay. But when people actually go into details and start getting off course of the warning about it part, that's when I get edgy and move away from the group or just drown them out if I can't go anywhere. It really bothers me a lot, because it's like they know it's wrong, but they still do it. And some people even brag about it. And then when the teachers start getting involved in the conversation and pushing it further, that gets really disturbing and uncomfortable. That's one of the main reasons why I do homeschool now...

    Amber Bock's black too
    or a REALLY DARK brown.
but yea when i was 4 or 5 i took a sip of beer to see what the big deal was and it was so nasty i still can't drink it to this day.
unless i'm already drunk off liquour, beer is nasty lol
and i only drink liquour on family celebrations

how is it ok when the other two aren't? Pregnancy, STDs, etc. are not ok.
and it depends on the drug on the question. I'm smoke weed, not as much as others but a frequent amount and it has never done anything bad for me, i'm still doing pretty damn great in school. But pot's not as dangerous as other stuff, i would never do anythin that you can overdose from (pills, crack, oxycodon) but i'm not totally against it, a small amount can usually be ok.
I have never seen any of my druggie friends think they can do **** they really can't (fly, etc.) that depends on the person's original state of mind.
my school has quite a few girls who have been pregnant, are pregnant, currently have kids. The girl who sits behind me in first period is pregnant. I know a few girls who already have kids, there are a bunch of girls that are pregnant, some who have even lost their unborn babies, and even a few wit STDs...

Pretty much everyone where I live smokes pot except for me and most of my friends, but it does kind of bother me because I had to go through tests because my doctor thought I had lung cancer. If I did have it, it would be from hanging around my sister, who is a pothead.

Teenage pregnancy is almost like a trend, which is totally stupid.

But all of that doesn't really bother me that much anymore because I am so used to it.

I believe I speak for us all when I say: We've had enough of these yahoos and their so-called 'experience'. They need to put themselves in rehab and give us a break.

i think that people have right to speak about whatever theyd like, but in public things need to be spoken about in a manner that is acceptable to others.

Well if it's a good reason then there shouldn't be any problems, seeing how in health class they discuss it all the time. Why? because it's a health class. Maybe they feel comfortable talking to there teachers instead of there parents. "Maybe"
    ??
It's really your opinion, thus it could be a good reason at that. My seniors talk about that kind of stuff in the open because it's the only way for them to feel comfortable. Thus teachers do have a habit of trying to be the students friends, which I mostly see it everyday. I think it's wrong that Teachers don't
    exclude it when it's necessary.

Personally i wouldn't chance using drugs. Some people can use them of an occasion but that is about 1/10 people and i don't think i'm that 1/10.

Nah, you're not the only one. Of course it wrong. I HATE having to listen to someone else talk about their "adventure" of the weekend or something. What really bothers me is when you can't get away from it. Like being on a bus or something. And when a teacher joins in?! Woah... I can't even imagine a teacher joining in a sex conversation. Unless they're saying something to the effect of "You shouldn't be doing that at this age."

i dont know about the drugs and alchohol but i have no problem with talking about sex with people.. Its human nature to do that so i dont find anything wrong with it as long as no one is offended by it

That's just horrible. Not only is that not something to talk about at school, or at all even, but teachers!? It's just wrong.

It's beyond obnoxious. I don't participate in any of that stuff. Drugs is something you should never do, and as for alcohol and sex, they are adult activities. I understand that teenagers are discovering a new world and want to share their experiences and experiments with each other, but it usually makes me uncomfortable. Not as much as it used to, since I've gotten used to it, but still. It's the drugs that I have the biggest problem with. Sex is something everybody does, but I don't think someone should do it until they're ready. Most of the teenagers participating in it aren't, but they're convinced that they are.

People are going to talk about what they talk about. We only see it as wrong because we were raised in societies and households that had different morals. I do agree, kids are trying to "grow up" much too fast these days, but that's just the way society is going, and you can't fight that. Women were once considered fallen hussies if they even showed so much as their ankles or wrists. We of course find that ridiculous, because society has changed to accept women showing more of their body. My point is that values, standards, and the things kids do/talk about change all the time, and the generations before them might frown up them for it, or think it's completely inappropriate, but that's just the way it is.

Sex, drugs, and alcohol shouldn't be things taken lightly, I agree, but you guys do seem to be a bit... prudish about all of this. There's nothing wrong with teachers joining in in their student's discussion, they're people too. I'm not saying that teachers can say whatever they want, far from it, I'd of course be pissed if I saw a teacher talking to kids about the great weed they smoked that weekend, but it's fine to an extent.

Morals are changing. Sex is becoming common in younger and younger ages, and that's just the way society is evolving. There's no one to blame for that, it's just the way things are going. Besides, half the time kids talk about having sex or doing drugs/alcohol they're just talking themselves up to seem cool.

I don't find it itself bad, but what annoys me about it is how often I hear about it. So you've had sex, so you've smoked pot, we don't need an update on it every day.
