Agnostic

Does everyone actually know what that is? Because none of my friends seem to....

Being an agnostic means you don't believe in God or a phenomenon because you have never experienced it. I too am an agnostic/atheist.

 

Agnostic means that you dont believe in a God, but you are like prepared to believe. it isnt as extreme as atheism but you arent a complete believer. to put it simply its like sitting on the fence :)

I'm also agnostic, but I feel I have to clarrify the definition cause the ones provided aren't all entirely true.

Agnosticism has two dimensions: it's definitive form, and how it's applied in social context.

Firstly, by definition you're agnostic if you believe it's impossible to prove that God exists, or that he doesn't exist. Therefore, you believe it's an impossibility to prove either case. In social context, this is more defined as being apathetic or indifferent in wanting to know the answer.

To apply it to myself, religion has never been a huge part of my life, nor an aspect that I turn to to make my decisions or judge certain situations. Thus, I really couldn't care less if God existed or not, because upon finding that answer (which may never happen), it won't affect the way I've been living my life. Thus, the answer to this mystery isn't something I need or want to know, so I don't really care about it.

That's agnosticism for you. I've used to joke around saying I'm agnostic because I'm too lazy to be an athiest. However, that statement in itself is only half true, and somewhat flawed. But it's quite a funny way to express my opinion.

Agnostic means you are not sure if god exists. I am however a atheist.
