A week in a haunted house.

Zack walked over to Kahlene, "a key to what?"

 

"I don't know. It looks like antique or somethin'." There was a small image on the top of the key. She wiped the dust off. "It has an image of a rose. Wow, whoever lived in this room must have had some fascination with roses."

 

zack laughed a little, "I guess they did"

 

"Though I will admit, this key is pretty hot... like you." Kahlene winked at Zack.

 

Zack smiled, "nope, like you" he said.

 

She giggled. "Wanna go see what this key opens?"

 

"sure" he said, "what do you think it opens?"

 

"I don't know. I'm dying to find out." Kahlene said as she jumped in excitement.

 

Zack laughed a little and put his hand on Kahlenes shoulder, "then lets go find what the key opens" he put his arm around her.

 

She smiled and nodded. She took his hand and walked out of the room and back into the hallway. There was one more door at the end. "Wanna check out that room?"

 

Zack smiled, "thats fine with me"

 

She gave a nod. Kahlene took out the key and stuck in the keyhole. She jiggled it around. "Eh? That's odd..."

 

"the key doesnt fit?" Zack asked.

 

"It went in perfectly, but it doesn't want to turn for some reason." She kept trying to turn it but it wouldn't budge.

"I don't think this key is meant to be used on this door. I think it opens something else." Kahlene said as she took the key out of the keyhole.

 

"wanna find what it opens?" he asked.

 

"Yes. The curiousity is killing me!" She took in a deep breath. "Okay, I've chilled. I'm sorry about that. I guess you could say I'm anxious... and or excited." She chuckled a little.

 

Zack chuckled, "A little bit of both I think" he said and put his arm around Kahlene, "lets find what it opens then" he smiled.

 

"Since we've practically checked every room upstairs, should we check downstairs?"

 

"sure, thats fine with me" he said.

 

Kahlene grabbed Zack's hand with her hand and had the key in the other hand. "Then let's go." They went all the way downstairs hand in hand to the large basement.
