A week in a haunted house.

"well" Zack said, "the book is about bugs, you wouldnt like it" he said.

 

"B-bugs? Oh... nice..." Curiousity got the better of her and she took the book and held it in her hands.

 

Zack looked at her, "are you gonna look at it?" he asked.

 

Kahlene mindlessly nodded. She opened the book. There were a lot of worms in between the pages. She was disgusted and dropped the book. Then she noticed something else fell out of the book. "Eh?"

 

Zack looked, "did something come out of the book?"

 

She knelt down and saw a the top of a dried up rose. Kahlene picked it up and stood up. "A rose?"

 

Zack stood next to Kahlene, "weird, A rose"

 

Kahlene carefully picked the book up again. She flipped through it. "Besides bugs there's a dried flower in each page. Whoever must've owned this book must have collected flowers. They're pretty."

 

Zack thought for a minute, "but why would they put roses in a book about bugs?"

 

"I don't know, but don't you think it's pretty?" Kahlene asked.

 

"yea, they are very pretty, like you" Zack said.

 

Kahlene blushed and kissed him on the cheek. "Your the sweetest guy I have ever met."

 

Zack blushed, "really?" he asked.

 

"Yeah." She hugged him.

 

Zack smiled and hugged Kahlene, "your the sweetest"

 

She smiled. Kahlene looked over his shoulder and saw something shining on the bookshelf behind them.

 

Zack looks at the bookshelf, "what you looking at?" he asked.

 

"There... something... so... shiny."

 

Zack looked again, "I dont see anything" he said.

 

Kahlene let go of Zack and went to the book shelf. "What is that?" She reached for it. It was a silver key.

"A key..."
