Alright. Im going to be honest here.

I could really care less about being avid about a show on a channel whose audience is 8-12 year olds. Like I said earlier, this is the spamzone. It doesnt matter what I know or do not know, I'll post where I want. Sorry for "making you look like a fool" but you shouldn't get so worked up about a thread here let alone a thread about a t.v. show.

Whatever hun <3 Maybe if you actually paid some attention to the subject and looked into it I wouldn't have to say things like that~
Also, though I can't really defend myself, that 8-12 comment really pissed me off. Prolly cause most of my friends are around the 16-18 age group and they watch it. Also, TDI is directed towards people who are 11-14.
Just cause this is in the spamzone doesnt mean its not a serious thread. There's no rule for the spam zone saying everything has to be spam, this is just where I post when I dont exactly know what to say. I doubt a rant would last long in the M&M section.

@Tootsie: Precisely why I enjoy watching it. It's unique and funny, and relates much more to kids these days. All this time, Cartoons have used their limits with the FCC and still attemted to entertain kids, yet failed miserably due to the fact thats kids in todays society push those limits themselves. I'm glad there's finally a show that says screw those limits, even with the edits.

His entire FACE is huge. Lots of plastic surgeries from the hundred-something times he's blown it off.

That is too true. I love TDI for that. Maybe if there were more cartoons like that, then Cartoon Network and other cartoon channels would get more ratings.

Ditto; Cartoon Network should seriously be taking note. Total Drama Island is the top rated show on the network right now.

    Proof o:

Also, not merely on the network, but it was the 10th highest rated program from kids 8-14 on TV the week of August 17th. THE WEEK OF THE OLYMPICS.

Veeeeeeeeeeery nice. Now all we need now is some non-crappily edited anime (in other words, no anime edited by 4kids) on Toonami, make Toonami's block back to 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm instead of 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and more shows like TDI and I think Cartoon Network would be even better than it is.

Btw, have you noticed that all the older cartoons, (e.g. Camp Lazlo, Foster's, Billy and Mandy, KND, Ed Edd & Eddy etc.) have all disappeared and so did the Friday's thingy? I miss the Friday's block thingy. That made me have something to look forward to as a youngster with the new episodes. But now all they have is crappy movies at 9 o'clock.

EDIT: And also, Ben 10 and Samurai Jack isn't anime. Why do they even have it on Toonami?

True, True. Zatch Bell and Rave Masters, while obvious 4kids edits, made me really happy to watch. Bobobo-bobo-bobo was batshit insane; and Naruto and Funimation's One Piece were epic. Now all we have is like, Bakugan and Naruto... and some other ****. Dunno, haven't had time to watch it. Also, am I the only one who misses the Original Tom? The newest one looks way too human.

I think they're still on, just not at times when most are watching. I do miss Billy and Mandy and Foster's. KND, oh my LORD, that was my favorite show for years, dude. Ed Edd and Eddy was one I always thought was ******ed but now I'm starting to be slightly amused by it, for some reason the way its animated makes me lol. Camp Lazlo bors me to tears, I hate watching it. I don't agree with the movies thing either, and I do miss friday's with Nzinga and whoever the other guy was x3 I's been a while. Fried Dynamite is epic failure, majorly.

I think Toonami is just an action block now, I don't really think anime is what its all about anymore. Just another reason CN has fallen.

Zatch Bell and Rave Master? Wooh! They were the ****! Bobobo was just stupid, but entertaining sometimes. I've gotten tired of Naruto because it's become nothing but fillers...I miss all the episodes that were before episode 101. I dunno about One Piece. I never watched it. Bakugan was is an obvious Yu-Gi-Oh rip off, but I like Alice, Juno and that dark-skinned girl with the gray hair. If it weren't for them, I'd never watch it. Alice is an epic moe~ And now there's Pokemon Diamond and Pearl which is pretty entertaining. I also miss Yu-Gi-Oh GX. I kinda liked it. And, oh God, the old Tom pwned. The new one is just fat and less cool.

Billy and Mandy were kinda gross at times, but pretty good. I loved Girm's Jamaican accent, though. x3 Fosters, was nice seeing Bloo's selfishness and ****. KND was just wonderful. So many twists and turns and such. Ed, Edd and Eddy...I'd love they're stupid schemes for Jawbreakers. Camp Lazlo was a bit...eh...I dunno. Sometimes I liked it, others I didn't. And Fried Dynamite is just...ugh...

Anyway, Toonami just needs more anime and Cartoon Network needs more TDI-type shows. And Fridays NEEDS TO BE BACK!

I know! I was so damn disappointed at CN for taking them off, even if they were just more 4kids crap, they were some of the few animes that at least pulled it off somewhat. Bobobo scared me, like seriously, but the fact that it had basically no plot and was just random **** every 2 minutes drew me to it for some reason. Needless to say, I watched it when it was on. Bakugan, I watched the first episode. I do agree its a YGO ripoff, and being like on eof the biggest YGO fans ever I shouldn't even be midly entertained by it... but omfg, Scott McCord (Trent/Owen from TDI) voices the main character, how could I resist that? Trent has a smoldering voice. I NEVER liked YGO GX. Never. I despised it. Tom... I don't think he'd peeve me so much i they gave him a new voice when they changed him up. If I'm correct, the guy who played HUghes from FMA voices him? I think his name was like Sonny something or other.

Billy and Mandy was just weird, but I enjoyed it. It was one of the few shows I could watch if there was nothing else on. Fosters was adorable, I liked the diversity in characters and thought the designs were great, never failed to amuse me. Cheese is capable of being the next Gir. But hell, anything by Craig McCracken is wonderful, his work from PPG to Dexter to anything really, is amazing. KND just made me feel good about being a kid. It made me want to stay 8 forever, as that's the time when I lovedit the most. I had my own little KND club and everything, I think I even entered the sweepstakes to win the treehouse. I really miss my childhood watching that show. Ed Edd n' Eddy was cute in its own way. Seeing a couple of boys go so far for a piece of candy made me lol. Eddy was pretty funny in his own little way. He reminds me a lot of Chris from TDI, I have NO idea why. Camp Lazlo just... arg. The stories in the episodes seemed unoriginal and for whatever reason the characters majorly annoyed me. Except Clam. Clam is epic.
Same with that Squirrel Boy show, I was not amused by that.

Anyways, yeah. I always thought it was just cause I was younger, but Cartoon Network seemed a lot better back then.

And wow, I kinda want this to be moved to movies and Media now. Is that possible? Or is there too much spam?

Yeah. They didn't totally butcher the storyline like they did with Yu-Gi-Oh, nor did they kill it with a bunch of useless edits like in One Piece. I say their most successful anime edits is Pokemon. But I'll get back on that. Bobobo was a bit scary and gross, yes, but it had it's certain charm with it. Really? Scott McCord voices Danny? I would have never guessed. ._. And I liked Yu-Gi-Oh GX because you can basically see a little bit of the old characters from the first season in this new show. IT was good, but it wasn't the same. And they didn't change Tom's voice though...I'm not sure.

Billy and Mandy. I could always tell that Mandy was gonna turn out to be emo some day. Eh... Anyway, character design is key when it came to Fosters. And they got it right. If people took Fosters as an example, then more orignal characters will be born. I hate Chesse. I hated him so much that I couldn't help but liking him. And Goo...was alright too. xD Anyways, Craig McCraken did well, I must agree, but I can't help but liking PPGZ (aka the anime version) better than PPG. x3 And Dexter was good, but there is a cartoon that is currently playing that copies it. Can you guess what it is? Ed, Edd, n Eddy was just great. It was simply great. I don't know what it was that made it so good, but...you can't question greatness. I only liked Clam and Edward from Camp Lazlo. Clam because he was just epic. Edward because he would just react like any of us would react if we were in his position. And I feel as though he's real for some reason. Squrriel Boy...it reminded me of Fresh Prince of Bel Air since Rodney was Will and Adny's father was Uncle Phil.

But anyway, let's talk current shows. What shows do you like that play now?

EDIT: And maybe PPGZ should go on Cartoon Network so long as it doesn't get in the hands of 4kids?

Is this a CN Programming Rant now?

When I had satellite, and in turn CN, I used to love Ed, Edd, n' Eddy. It was one of my favourite shows. D=

xD The Dexter's lab ripoff... my best guess would be Johnny Test? Only flipped so that its the sisters who are the geniuses. But helll, JT is midly entertaining and they seem to find some ways to make it original.

PPGZ will be edited into ****, I'll tell you that. The fact thats its based off of an american cartoon means if it does bounceback to america we'll prolly buthcer it and it'll be some crazy monster child.

Right now on Cartoon Network I'm just content with TDI. That's pretty much what I watch it for. Oh, and Flapjack. That show is cartoons on crack on heroin on meth. Chowder can be pretty damn funny too.
(sorry for the short post, my hands are gettin' tired.)

Eh, not so much a rant... more like a long discussion.

How'd you know it was Johnny Test? Was it because the sisters had orange hair like Dexter, had lab-coats like him, has a lab like him and Johnny is the equivalent to Dee-dee with his blond hair and always messing with his sibling's experiments? And also, Bling-Bling Boy is the equivalent to Mandark (not to mention he also likes Susan as Mandark does Dee-dee) and since Dexter's parents have such classic roles, that Johnny's parents have to have opposite roles? If so then gooood. Anyway, I like it. It's pretty entertaining.

Gah. As much as I'm in denial, I have to agree. So let's just pray that it doesn't come to America.

Flapjack is pretty good too. I like the Whale named Bubby. She has such a warm, motherly personality. And I like that. And when I saw it, I thought it was kinda like Chowder. Both of them are weird and stuff. And Flapjack has a more grunge type of look when it comes to certain characters. Chowder...it's just plain weird, but that weird look is what gives it it's attraction. Anyway, both of them have the potental to be the next SpongeBob.

Oh and I miss My Gym Partner's a Monkey. D:
