A Life to Lead ^_^

Slowly he starred into space not knowing what to think or say. He was the problem why Roxas hated him and for a stupid reason as well. Just because he was trying to help, the key of destiny took that as an offense to his own self and wanted nothing to do with the nocturne. This made Demyx very upset, but mostly confused on how Roxas someone who he had helped train in the organization for a few times now held a grudge over him. What had happened to their friendship? True it wasn't any where near as Axel's or Xion's or even Namine's, but at least the sitarist tried to make the attempt. Now, Roxas was the enemy to the organization, a traitor for leaving and Demyx didn't want any harm to come to him and it didn't know what he would do if he was ever ordered to go after him? Glancing at Cloud, he stood up getting defensive. "Why so you can not trust me either and treat me like a disease too? Why not Cloud? Leon says you shouldn't trust nobodies and I happen to be one. Someone as ruthless and cruel as the rest of the organization ought to just get your heart as well?" He blurted out for he clearly upset and not thinking of what he was saying.

Cloud narrowed his eyes, disapproving of that comment, but he wouldn't take his own anger out on the scared nobody. Something had clearly happened and he wanted to know why? "Demyx if I didn't trust you I would have never signed the contract or agreed to any of the terms. You're not like the rest at all. You're different and I know you would never betray your friends so will you just tell me what is going on?"

Demyx sniffed and coughed a few times trying to compose himself. "I'm sorry I went off on you like that. It's just that Xion could be pregant and she agreed to me being an uncle to the baby and I was going to ask Aerith if it was all right with her and Roxas overheard and gave Xion a cold look for telling me. I mean why would he get mad at her for telling me? I feel like I'm not wanted at all." He covered his face with his hands and began to weep into them.

Cloud nodded taking the whole bit in and was surprised to hear that Xion could be pregant. "I wonder how Aerith feels about all of this and I assume Roxas would be the father?" He asked Leon and paused at seeing his friend sobbing. "Don't cry. Roxas is just confused and upset himself and took it out on the wrong individual. It would be best to only avoid him. Let him come to you."

 

Gex closed his eyes, taking in every word. Anger, rage, sadness, depression, angst, disgust, and back to anger. These were symptoms that he had seen before in couples he stalked before he fought them to the death, suffering quite a good amount of wounds in the process.

Feeling her against him, he decided to ask the question he would probably die from asking

"Do you love him Larxene?"

 

Axel was a bit taken back by this whole turn of events. He had sensed tension and bitterness through Roxas, but the worst thing was that Demyx had left to feel sorry for himself and the red head knew exactly where he would go towards. "Roxas, if Xion doesn't have a problem with Demyx then you shouldn't either. It is not just your choice, but hers as well. So I think you should put your hatred for Demyx aside or it will stress out Xion. Remember he was your friend one time," he told Roxas the red head frowning a bit. He was disappointed, but did not show it. He made a portal and before he went anywhere he faced Roxas. "I will be right back, don't you guys go anywhere. I think you should apologize, and I know that you are better than that. He is not one of the other heartless members in the organizations," Sure they had no hearts so they would be heartless, but the flurry's term was in attitude wise who wouldn't care about anyone. He left the portal open so that Roxas could go with him if he chose.


Leon was about to say something else, but had chosen to remain silent when he saw that an dishearted Demyx share his thoughts with Cloud. He didn't want to say or think with this cause of concern with Aerith and Xion's supposed pregancy. He wondered if that was why Aerith hadn't been around for so long? The reason that she could of been avoiding them to not want them to know the facts. He wouldn't judge, but still he was more suspicious over anything.

 

OOC: I wouldn't mind taking him. It's been awful quiet for me waiting for The Joker.

 

"Yeah, once ..before he became a stereotypical idiot, just like all the others ..whatever." Roxas muttered as Axel left, not caring if Demyx left or not. He was being such a crybaby just because he wasn't having his way. If he expected sympathy from him, he was wrong.

"Xion, why did you tell him? If he cries over something like this, then I don't want him anywhere near our child ..he can't handle it, and I won't let his idiocy affect our child." he told her, turning around to face her with an expression of neutrality. He wasn't mad at her, and he was doing his best to act like it too.

Demyx glanced at Cloud once more after removing his hands from his face. He couldn't help it if he was sensitive and he couldn't understand why Roxas was being such a jerk to him? Everyone was different and Roxas had to give him the benefit of the doubt. "No way that would ever happen Cloud. I need to stand up to him once and for all. I need to find out what went wrong between the both of us and why he has so much hatred for me? What if he loses it and takes it out on Xion? It would not be good for her health if she really is pregant and then if something happened to her or the baby he would blame it all on me. I need to settle this. Last time before I ran off, I did see Aerith so you could come and talk to her if you want," he was glad that he had someone to talk to and it made him feel better.

Cloud stood up and nodded. "Of course. I have to go with you anyway. You said you would come get me so this is a time as good as any." He observed Demyx create a portal for them. "Leon you can stay or come since the choice is up to you," he entered before the water wielder and arrived where he saw Roxas, Xion and Aerith together. He looked down upon the younger youth, the one who held bitter feelings towards his friend and just walked past him, just giving him a cold glance as he made his way to Aerith to speak to her.

Demyx left the portal open for Leon to come if he wished to, and made his way onto the other side now sencing Aerith, Xion, and Roxas once more. Walking up to the key of destiny, his eyes glanced down at the one who was bitterly accusing Xion. "You know I don't like being treated like a disease Roxas? Would you like that if someone gave you the same treatment? What would your son or daughter think if they saw you behaving like a bully? I can't help that I'm sensitive all right? I was created that way or you can blame of who I was before. What is your problem with me anyway? Everyone else seems to not have a problem with me so why can't you go with the flow?" He was sick of getting his feelings hurt, having to explain himself for any wrong doings that happened and tired as hell of always being the victim yet there he was once again. It was frusterating, but for Xion's health it was worth finding out the truth about what Roxas's big deal was.

 

...Man.. Roxas thought with annoyance as Demyx came back yet again, trying to act like a big old tough guy who didn't just run off like a crybaby.And with that pointless glare given by his little blond lapdog running around, his temper was starting to flare. Cloud didn't help the situation either, so glaring wasn't going to make him forgive anyone faster.

So he let him rant all he wanted, barely paying half a mind to the entire thing anyway since he went from one question to another.How typical.And this entire time he was facing Xion with his eyes closed, wishing he was somewhere else so he didn't need to deal with him.

"Besides the fact that you brought out your Sitar and threatened me when I announced my leaving of the Organization? Besides the fact that you grabbed me and Xion by the arm when we didn't need saving? Besides all of that Demyx, you're just plain annoying when it comes to who you are ..and I don't like you." he said, opening his eyes and looking away from Xion to his side, staring at the ground."Whether I treat you wrong or not, I won't be doing the same to my child ..and you're as bad an influence as Larxene would be on a kid."

Cold? Perhaps ..but Demyx wanted to know, so he delivered exactly how he felt.

 

Leon watched the portal remain open, but the warrior stayed in place as if half expecting someone to trail in his presence. For a few more minutes he just looked at it. Yuffie was asleep in her room dreaming of happy thoughts hopefully. He let her rest because she was young and didn't need to deal with all the drama. The brunete wondered where Sora had been all this time. He knew that Cloud had gone with Demyx, but in his mind it looked almost like a gang up if anything. Sighing to himself he just leaned into the couch and fell asleep.


Fury of red hair had leaped out of the portal and then began searching the place as if trying to locate Demyx. Grumbling in frustration the red head was about to enter back into the portal, but then froze when there was in fact a weapon at his throat. His hatred eyes glared at Leon the one that he had almost exposed of. The one he was so close to making into an heartless. Now with the contract he would wonder if the humans were still expendible or not. Which would mean he would have to face Xenmas. The red head chuckled darkly knowing all to well to get out of this little manever as he made himself fade into a portal. Then back handed Leon letting him faint on the ground.
"You just never learn," He told the human smirking sardonically perhaps Xenmas would still want another heart after all. Why not? He was at his mercy now. Either way the flurry summoned out his chakrams and whacked Leon with them out cold. Though thinking in a smart way to not be suspicious he placed him back on the couch. No, he would deal with him later. There was a feeling that Demyx and Roxas could be confronting each other, and that would'n't be a pretty picture. He needed to break it up so he rushed back into the portal towards them.

 

Cloud ignored Roxas's ranting and he wasn't surprised by his reaction either. Ignoring the whole thing, he watched Roxas give his thoughts bluntly without a care in the world.

Demyx sighed rubbing his temples not believing what he was hearing. Boy Roxas could talk and almost come on the verge of yelling. The guy was so intense and he was mad at the wrong person. "Roxas, the only reason I showed my weapon to you is because that is what anyone of us in the organization would have to do against you a traitor. I didn't hurt you with it did I? No I let you get away. I couldn't hurt you, but I have to remain loyal for my survival is on the line as well, but you forgot that didn't you? You're supposed to have feelings aren't you Roxas?" He paused taking a breath before speaking the truth. "And like I explained to you before, I didn't grab you by your arm to be mean or control you in anyway. I was concerned about you getting hurt. Is that so wrong and don't you ever compare me to Larxene. I'm nothing like her in fact we're completly the opposite. What a horrible thing to say!" Demyx yelled at the top of his lungs turning away from him and shaking his head not believing what he just heard. He didn't deserve any of this treatment. He couldn't help the way he was and Roxas seriously did have a problem with him for being annoying. He couldn't change that. It was part of his personaility and others had to accept that.

 

Aerith tilted her head to the side, her mouth quirking into an almost smile, but she held it back. The boys had to solve it out. She looked for Cloud, then sighed. If he hadn't wanted her along, he would get angry now. She went next to Xion, putting an arm around the girl and pulling her back from the fight.

Xion looked up, and smiled slightly. "They have to work it out, don't they?" she asked quietly, her small blue eyes more innocent then Aerith could have imagined. Xion smiled again, then hugged the older girl. "Cloud won't be angry. He's.....scary now." Xion shivered, not liking this feeling.

 

"If your so different as you claim to be, then you wouldn't have done what the others would have, would you?" Roxas narrowed his eyes at the ground to his side, hands clenched. This wasn't going to get them anywhere at all. Demyx wouldn't understand at all."I really don't care..don't drag me anywhere again..and..as for you and Larxene..she may be a real witch sometimes, but at least she's reliable." he tossed in.

 

Xion pushed Aerith gently toward Cloud, then walked hesitantly over to Roxas. "Please...stop." she let the pain she felt show. "It's not that big of a deal, and he won't tell Xemnas. He's MY friend, Roxas. I wanted him to know." she had to let him know how she felt, or it would all be a lie.

 

"Well, it was a mistake ..you could have asked me if it was okay first ..I can't trust this guy with my kid, especially after he ran off crying." Roxas looked back up at Xion, eyes showing a large amount of resentment for the subject. "I don't care, Xion ..he may be older than us, but when it comes to maturity, he makes us look like elderly people ..friend or not, he's not being a family member of any kind." he said firmly.Of course he could be swayed, but the odds were slim, very slim.

 

He couldn't take this bickering anymore. Roxas was not going to back down and he hated these confrontations, but the guy was going to far. He needed to say what was on his mind."Man you really have changed if you think that?" He eyed him out of the corner of his eye. "Xion has agreed for me to be part of the child's life so you're just going to have to go with it. I can't believe the kind of hurtful things you're saying to me. You're acting like the others in the organization right now. Putting me down as they all have. I thought you were different and better then that Roxas?" He turned back around pointing at him. "Why? What happend to the guy I knew?"

Cloud stood by Aerith and watched Xion move away from her and towards Roxas. He spoke to Aerith. "Roxas is upset over nothing and is taking his anger out on someone who was only looking out for him while I was fighting Sephiroth. I told Roxas to get lost as well, but he's not taking his anger out on me is he? I wouldn't take verbal abuse from anyone."

 

Xion took a deep breath. "It's my child too, Roxas. And Axel isn't a family member either." she murmured, locking her hands behind her back. "He's a close friend of us both, which is why you told him. I told Demyx for the same reason. And for the record..." she hesitated. "You both are acting immature. It's a baby! Not a toy."

Aerith smiled slightly, worry clear in her eyes. "Cloud......you're not....." she looked him over. "You're not yourself." she finished, drawing him away from the other group. "Are you okay?" Please don't lie.

 

"...Regardless of that, he's not going to be near ours .." Roxas finished, glaring back at Demyx and bringing out all he hate towards him. It was done, the entire discussion was done with, and he'd mutilate the next person that brought it up again, except Xion of course. He was tired, annoyed, and angered all at the same time ..but he'd never hurt Xion with the emotions he felt.

Returning his gaze to Xion, he folded his arms. "...Are you ready to leave now?"

 

Axel had pulled himself out of the portal as he noticed the confrontation yet still going on. He couldn't believe it, but it was time to break it up. "Okay that is enough. One time you guys were friends and now you throw it away from some stupid stunt? Roxas you were just as insecure as Demyx when I first met you, lost if anything. As was Xion so don't you think you could give him the benefit of the doubt," If Roxas pressed it Axel would continue to make the younger member see the big picture. The red head knew alot about Roxas and he knew it, but he had alot of knowledge on Xion as well. They were best friends who would spin their time after missions sitting by Twlight Town's clock tower and eat ice cream together. Things were getting to personal now. If it wouldn't stop he would be forced to leave them all to just to be alone. Everyone seem change in his view.

 

Demyx hated to see others in pain who didn't deserve it so being the more mature person, he apolgized and brought his hand down. "You're right. This isn't helping you at all. In fact it's the opposite of what I want to accomplish. I'm sorry Xion if I did anything to upset you," he looked down at the ground not afraid to show his feelings and not caring about his pride either. He didn't want to upset her anymore.

Cloud gazed into her eyes and was puzzled by what she was talking about. "What do you mean?" He asked for he was skeptical of how she was acting and trying to figure out why she had pulled him away like that.

 

Xion bowed her head for a second, searching for the answers in this madness. "I'm not leaving, Roxas." she finally answered, looking back up. Her eyes were full of pain and hurt, but she held steady. "I'm going to wait with Aerith. She and I have one last thing to do."

Aerith glanced back at the group, then back at Cloud, her eyes full of some unreadable emotion. "Cloud...You know I won't be around forever, right?" she murmured, looking away. "Zack......Zack.....he wants to see you. One last time." she murmured, hiding the pain. "He can only come back one more time. He wants to see you." She wouldn't tell him what she had seen, what she was going to confirm with Xion.

 

"What's that?" Roxas questioned, actually wishing she was done. He wanted to rest now and just look up at stars. And now Axel was getting riled up. He didn't care if he was friends with Demyx anymore.He was just another member of the organization anyway, and he couldn't even answer the last questions he gave him either.
