A Life to Lead ^_^

Axel shook his head as he covered himself into darkness as well. He knew how cruel the Savage Nymph was and she didn't hesitate to aim at Demyx in the jews so there was no telling what the she devil would do if she decided to maim or even lay a finger on Xion. "She might hurt Xion, for some reason she has something against her. I just don't want any harm to come to Xion. You know that she loves to see everyone in misery and in pain and that is her fancy due to her cruel nature. Just don't want to take any chances with her," he sighed. If he had a heart it would be telling him that caution was a good way to avoid conflict.

 

"Larxene won't live to regret hurting her then, that's a promise." Roxas assured the Flurry as he reached the end of the Corridor, stepping out to meet Aerith, who was prepared to defend herself if she thought an enemy was attacking. "Oh, Aerith ..did you find that Cloud guy?" he asked, stepping forward.

 

Aerith relaxed. "Roxas. No, I can't find him anywhere." she frowned slightly. "Xion told me where he would be, and she's never been wrong before. I suspect taht's why you're here?" She lowered her staff slightly. "This way. She needs help." She took off around another corner, not waiting for them.

 

Roxas nodded, looking back towards the portal."Keep up Axel, no time to lose!" he said, running off towards aerith now with all the speed he could muster. If anything happened to Xion he'd never forgive himself.

Cloud listened to Leon's concerns and he sighed not knowing how to answer without making his friend upset. The last thing he wanted to do was for others to get killed by his actions, but if heartless were around in the first place, he would be destroying them and not the innocent people. It was his task to complete this otherwise, the heartless would run free and keep disturbing the peace. There was nothing wrong with making money on the side. "Leon, you know we are both warrriors and part of that job is have peace, but still we need to make a living in order to do that and that is the reason you and I agreed to the contract in the first place. Of course there will be consequences, but that can not be helped." He paused and got himself a glass of water for his throat was parched. Drinking the contents of the glass, he set it down and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. "So to answer your next question, it could be anyone perhaps even your rival Siefer?" Cloud said out of the blue and sat back down on the couch.

Demyx gave her a small hug, glad that he would now be part of the child's life. He always wanted to be a role model for others, being the kind and friendly nobody he was and now this was his chance. Taking Xion's hand into his own, he followed her until he suddendly stopped and cringed upon hearing Larxene's voice and seeing her before his eyes. He held his hand across Xion after she spoke with what sounded like hatred and then stood in front of her as he was going to protect her from the savage nymph in case she were to attack. "Larxene I see you found me." He stated in a causal tone. His azure orbs moved to the presence of Gex whom had fallen on top her like he was racing after her for some reason. Cocking his eyebrow, he chuckled, placing his hand over his mouth to hide it. "Geez...." he managed to say, still holding his arm behind him to prevent Xion from making an attack. "I'll handle her. You just stay with me okay?" He turned his head to grin at her. Out from all of this commotion, he was surprised that Xemnas did not know of these events yet and it was a good thing as well.

 

Xion smiled up at Demyx, her eyes bright. "She is confused. We could get away." she whispered, taking his hand. "Come on. Before she gets really angry." Xion remembered just enough to know they should be far away should that ever happen.

 

Demyx nodded and walked past Larxene and Gex with an amused grin. "Sounds like a good plan to me," Demyx ran with her past Gex and Larxene calling back to her. "We'll talk later Larxene." He hoped she wouldn't be mad, but he wanted to get Xion to safety. Running with her, he remembered something and stopped turning to her. "Did you get what you needed from here?" He asked keeping a lookout for any other nobodies especially Xemnas or Saix.

 

Xion nodded, holding out her book. "Aerith says it holds my past." She smiled slightly. "I want to know what I was." She started running again, almost giggling. "Let's go find Aerith."

 

Axel shrugged his shoulders a bit skeptical though that Aerith seemed to know some things that he didn't even know. He saw that Roxas was ahead of him, but it wasn't a problem as he ran to catch up with the younger member. It wasn't a problem because he had some speed as well, but to be safe he stayed behind in order for Roxas to get there first. Xion was his best friend's prioity after all and it would him a funny feeling if the flurry was there before him. "Roxas, do you know where she located?"


Leon nodded his head catching every word that was flung on him about the heartless and that they had to make an living, but still would there ever be peace at all? Unlike the normal heartless the one that was just created would cause more trouble and be a bother unless he killed the other heartless for them. His eyes then froze for a moment temporairly remembering the name Seifer, his rival and enemy the guy who had nearly left him for dead and even scarred his face leaving it permant. "I wish you wouldn't bring him into this, you know how I dispise Seifer," he crossed his arms sternly. Out of curiouity he asked again. "Ok, then who?"

At the moment Saix had sent his Berserkers to deal with Seifer, but they would as of now in order to not draw attention would wait patiently. The emotionless lunar himself was busy gathering his energy from the heart moon as if focused on getting prepared for some kind of fight. He hadn't noticed that Axel had not returned nor did he care. Nor did he know of Roxas betrayal, if so would he do anything? Probably not, it would be up to Xenmas after all. The blued haired nobody growled intensely letting his thoughts drive out or evade of the memory of his past with Axel. Their past as somebodies was dead to them if anything and that was the way he would leave it. Axel tried, but Saix didn't want any part of it. He was more on top of following orders if anything and do whatever Xemnas asked.

 

"Yeah, we're close, I can feel it!" Roxas told Axel over his shoulder, keeping pace with Aerith and hoping that they'd get to her in the next few moments. He didn't like this place, not just because of the paintjob, but because of the people that stayed here. Larxene was a nosy old bat, Xemnas was uptight and a submissive leader, and the list went on.

 

Xion giggled, then ran into something soft. Without stopping she threw her arms around Aerith. "I found you, I found you!" she grinned, hugging the older girl, then pulling back. "Where's Roxas?"

Aerith smiled, then looked back. "He's close. Did you find Cloud?" she asked worridly. "I couldn't find him by the directions you gave."

 

Seeing Aerith reaching the target they were all headed for, Roxas skid to a halt beside her and watched as the two conversed. He'd express his affection once she was finished with her mother-like figure. "Axel, over here!" he called for his best friend so he knew where to go. It wasn't as hard as he initially thought to find her, and for that he was glad.

 

Xion shook her head, her eyes worried, then threw herself at Roxas, holding him tightly. "I missed you." she whispered, her arms around his neck. "I thought you were coming right after us."

 

Cloud knew he found one of Leon's sore spots and he looked away after his friend gave his bitter response. "You wouldn't mind if Seifer was the next victim would you?" He asked out of curiousity. "You would never have to worry about him again."

Demyx agreed and kept up with her, easily catching up with her. He watched her run into Aerith and give her a sweet hug. His eyes were sincere upon the moment as it made him think of his own memories of his own mother and how much she cared for him. He wiped his eye and brushed those aside now approaching Aerith. "I never expected to run into you and wonder why you're in this area for it's dangerous. Xion told me everything and I will be more than happy to help her if that's all right with you? Xion thinks of me as like an older brother so perhaps I could be the uncle?"

 

Well, that was sooner than he expected.

He brought his arms around her waist and smiled, glad to see she was fine. "I was, but I had to talk with Axel now ..he knows." he whispered in her ear silently, just to give her a heads up. Axel, being one out of the three, had a right to know, more than anyone else."Now we can go, right?"

 

Pushing Gex from her body, Larxene rose from the ground and looked down at him. "Dammit, Gex, I'm gonna kill you one day. And that day is getting ever-so closer."
With a swift turning of her head, she looked up and directed her leer at the fleeing Nocturne and little black-haired snot-bag that he treat like a little sister or something. How obscure. Demyx wanting to feel some form of protection over something so little and breakable... Didn't that make him want to break her more?
well, that was demyx for you. His brain was all wierdly wired.

With a roll of her eyes, she sighed and looked at Gex on the floor again.
"Get up..." Her words flowed in more of an asking tone, than her usual snappish, I'm-gonna-kick-your-ass-if-you-don't tone.
This whole Ddemyx thing was making her tired, and was actually reducing her energy levels.
Why the HELL should she chase him?
You know what?
Screw him.

Instead of chasing, stomping, screaming and all-out throwing a tantrum, Larxene just basically gave up.
She sat Down next to possibly the only nobody who understood her, and just stared infront of her.
Straight into nothing.

 

The bag of bones looked at the blonde firecracker. He knew better than anyone the truth she spoke. She would be the death of him soon. With each tick of the clock, Gexlion, the masochist of insanity, number XV of the Organization would meet his reckoning at the end of one off her knives.

Gex leaned his head against the Nymph. It looked like his lightning bolt was running out of juice trying to burn water. Why was she doing this? Why now of all times to lose all her strength and charisma.

Trying something out of character, Gex gave Larxene a hug. Not a strong hug, nor a weak one, just a hug.

Larxene, ma'am, tell me what is on your mind. Is there something troubling you? You haven't been the same lately. Such behavior goes against yourself and ruins your health.

 

And then ..Roxas overheard something he really..really..really didn't want to hear. She told the one guy he hated most right now? This couldn't be true.He glanced at Demyx talking with Aerith for just one moment, then narrowed his eyes slightly at Xion in disapproval."..You didn't.." he whispered, breaking away from her and turning his back to think.

God, this was not the right time..he was about to go berserk, enough to make Saix look like an excited puppy.She could have at least talked to him about it first. Axel was a given, but Demyx!?

 

Demyx waited for Aerith's answer thinking it would be a yes for if Xion didn't have any problems with him, then Aerith might of thought the same. His smile faded when he saw Roxas and how upset he was at Xion. Putting two in two together, he lowered his head feeling defeated that Roxas was mad at her and it must of been what he overheard. Leaving Aerith, he walked away from her. "I'm sorry," he said to her. Glancing at Axel, he walked towards him, his head hung low. "I can tell Roxas doesn't want me here so I'll leave you with him and Xion and Aerith. I'm sorry if I did anything to upset him. Next time I'll mind my own business and not bother you or him again since I feel like I'm clearly not wanted anymore especially by him," he felt tears coming to his eyes and darted away off in a flash into a portal he conjured up at the last moment. He felt like he was a disease to Roxas and didn't want anyone to see him clearly upset and on the verge of falling apart. Not knowing where to go as he ran through the Corridor of Darkness he knew the one of the last individuals would be Larxene for she would laugh in his face if she saw him in the way he was now, tears running down his eyes, and his cheeks all flustered.

Cloud saw a portal emerge suddendly before he could say anything else to Leon, out came an extremely dishearted nobody who was wearing his feelings on his sleeve. He was clearly bothered about something. Cloud walked over to his friend and asked him to sit down. "What's the matter?"

 

Larxene leaned against the masochist, blinking before replying to his tone.
"I feel irritated, Gex." Larxene explained, sighing. "But my irritation isn't presenting itself in a fusion of rants and lashing out... I just feel like I might have shut down. I'm sick of running. Sick of making the effort and having it rammed back up my ass again... And the big brother thing? I've never heard of such rubbish in my life. I feel physically sick just thinking of such a thing. Why the hell is he so laid back and...wimpish? He never used to be like this. He was never the stupid, childish socialite that I seen before me. Running? What the hell is all that about? Currently, I am just disgusted at him. At the pair of them. Xion? Pregnant? Is that even possible?"
Right now, her mind was blown completely.
