Xemnas' eyes stayed closed. He had no need to devote a large amount of attention to the matter.

"Take him out of that world. His heart collecting is a waste. we know what hearts we want."

 

While Vexen worked on various experiments in his, Mixt sat at a table watching him. The tension in the room could be cut with a knife, except with two of them it was more likely to be a scalpel. Vexen didn’t want this guy here at all but having to baby-sit him was even worse. Mixt on the other hand knew he wouldn’t be trusted but in sitting in the corner of a mad-scientist’s lab was unexpected. In truth the tension came because they reminded each other of themselves, and they saw themselves as something to be feared if one knew truth behind them. The dead silence of the room was likely the only thing that stopped the two from being in a death match right now.

 

The Heartless picked up his Masamune. "You know, if your going to make up lies to make yourself look better, make them believable." Sephiroth seemed to stand there for a moment, surveying his opponent. "Atleast come up with something you look like you put some efffort into." After Sephiroth said these words, he dashed at Kexlaybed with his Masamune, sending Shadow Flares to him as he went.

 

Ready this time, Kexlaybed melted into a shadow, reappearing in front of a building.
"You attack me. You ruin my only means of stealth. And now you INSULT ME by calling me a LIAR! I'll have you know that I have powers that I suspect may destroy this universe if I used them. And, look at this!" Kexlaybed pulled out his pyramid shaped artifact, "This one artifact holds the entire power of time inside it. Should I smash it, that power would be unleashed on this universe. Time destroyed, chaos everywhere. Think about it. If it sounds glorious, think again. Imagine being caught in a rift, or half of you aging rapidly to death while the other half regresses to before your own conception. And how can you be sure what plans you've tried, when months and years have merged together? Kill me now, and I'll be waiting in some tommorow to avenge my death. Does it still sound so great? Believe it. To save the universe from having to endure a tyrant like I know you'll be, I could end everything right now. But I won't. I'll make you wait, and wonder. 'Will he do it,' you'll be asking yourself. And when you get close to your goal to rule this universe, I will."

Kexlaybed stood, and waited, wanting to see the One Winged Heartless respond.

 

Xion ran faster, following the trail she saw. He was coming...she would find him. She had to, before the madness, and before Roxas. Her breath coming in sharp pants, she turned another corner, clutching her book tightly to her chest.

 

With his blue eyes movings towards Leon, he knew this was the time to say something once more. Demyx had made his point and it was up to the taller youth to smooth the situation over. "Leon you know the deal we made and that's all there is to it." He picked up his bag, slung it over his shoulder and walked into the portal. "I'll let you think it over for a while and you decide what you want to do. You'll know where I'll be." Cloud was now in the darkness where he could not be seen.

Demyx stopped him for a moment before he would walk further in. "If you want you can stay and talk to Leon about what is going on and I will come back for you." Demyx offered hating to see such good friends argue in front of him.

Cloud starred what seemed to be the oblivion until he nodded his head. "Fine just take back my bag for me and put it in your room. Come get me in an hour or two." He responded with certainity as he lifted the bag off of his shoulder and handed it to Demyx.

Demyx took the bag graciously, placing it over his own shoulder and watched Cloud go back the way he came. The portal closed as Cloud was now in the house with Leon, and Demyx was in the hallway of the castle, with the bag slung over his shoulder. He headed towards the steps, hoping the boss did not notice that he had left without notifying him of such.

 

Xion tried to stop, seeing a figure before her. She tripped, then slid to the person's feet, and sighed. "I'm so sorry, I couldn't stop..." she began apologizing, before looking up and realizing who it was. "Demyx!"

 

Demyx looked down at Xion and reached out his hand to help her to her feet. She looked concerned and worried like she had been running and the way she apoligized seem to mean that something was on her mind. He wish he knew, but for now he offered her his right hand and a smile. "Xion, I'm glad that you ran into me in fact I was hoping to see a familar friendly face." Demyx was kind and sincere and genuine and it seemed like he wasn't a member at all of the organization. In fact he wondered why he was even a part of it? It was to get the same thing the others wanted which was a heart, but at what price? Was it even worth it if others suffered for his selfishness? He glanced into her eyes and tilted his head to the side wondering why she had been running in the first place?

 

Xion leaned against him, catching her breath. "Demyx....where's Cloud?" she asked, looking around. He should have been there....maybe she wasn't as good as she thought. "I have something I need to tell you." she murmured, feeling nervous. "Alone."

 

Demyx scratched the back of his head not sure what she was getting at, but as a friend to her he would listen to what she had to say. He consoled her by resting his left hand aganist her back like an older brother would. "Oh Cloud is with Leon, as I thought it would be better if he stayed back at the house to settle the arguement. They needed to be alone. I'm going to get him in two hours, so we can talk where ever you would like."

 

Xion nodded, then pulled him into a corner and took a deep breath. "There's a good possibility...I'm going to have a baby." she murmured, looking down. "Aerith knows, and she's here, looking for Cloud. I came to get this...but....." she looked away. "Even if you hate me, I just wanted you to know. I feel like you're my brother. You have a right."

 

Demyx kneeled down to her level so she was eye to eye to him. His eyes widened when he heard the news and he was excited to hear it. He didn't know much about the consequences of having a kid, but to him it seemed like an adventure. "A baby? Xion I would never hate you. You're to sweet. I have to say congradualtions." He gave her a small hug and let go, holding both of her hands. "If you do have one, could I be an uncle and help you take care of the little boy or little girl?" After what Xion said calling him as a close as a brother it was only natural for him to blurt that out. He wanted to be involved in her life and the babies's but wasn't so sure of what Roxas would think? He was Xion's friend and wanted to do his part to help in anyway he could even if meant keeping the peace between him and Roxas.

 

"..What did you think I'd do, leave her alone and miserable?"the Key of Destiny inquired with a smile, glad that Axel had put some faith in him. He, as well as anyone who had been a parent, knew it wasn't easy to raise a child, but he'd do all he could for his wife-to-be and his child.Sure, he wasn't 100% sure that Xion WAS in fact pregnant, but he was 100% certain he'd provide for her regardless, whether or not that time came. His eyes went from Axel to the night sky. It was beautiful, and he hoped to see more of it.

"Axel ..if she does have our child ..you'll be the godfather, right? I don't trust anyone else .." he admitted.

 

A smile slowly spread across Xion's lips, and she hugged him tight. "Of course you can!" She had thought he would be angry, because of Roxas and her, but he seemed happy, even excited about it. "C'mon, let's find Aerith and get her to Cloud." she offered, holding out her hand. She wanted to speak to Axel, and she needed to get away from the place where Xemnas might be. If he found out...she shuddered.

 

Larxene took a deep breath, and opened a portal. If he wasn't going to make an attempt at talking, then she would have to prove her worth and actually confront him, this time, without the raging violence and pride-crushing.
Placing a lock of her blonde hair behind her ear, she held out her left hand with her black glove-lined fingers extended. A small circle formed, and soon morphed itself into a gaping rip in the air infront of her. The corridor of darkness was there, and all she needed to do was step in, and she would be a few meters away of where she predicted Demyx to be.
Why was she so hesitant? Confronting the Nocturne would show how mature she was, and make her pride more present, not damage it in any way, shape or form.
She inhaled, the cool air of the corridor swiping its way through her airways and into the depths of her lungs. The cool air embraced the Nymph's body, letting her glide freely as she slid herself to the otherside of the - now narrowing - corridor.

When mere inches from the exit, a voice caught her ears, making her gasp sharply in reaction to the words that flowed in a low mumble.
I'm going to have a baby. was all she heard, before losing concentration and tripping on her own foot.
The force of her fall propelled her from the murky teleport, and out into Castle Oblivion. What an embarassment.
Looking up, she caught sight of Xion and Demyx conversing with one another.
"what the hell."

 

Xion whipped around, her eyes an icy blue. "Larxene. Knew you couldn't resist coming back to follow one of us." she spat, not quite sure why she was so angry. Maybe it was because she was scared. Larxene would definately tell Xemnas, if she got the chance. "Jealous?" she asked, reading the other girl's emotions clearly. They were all over her face. "Maybe you should actually sweeten up."

 

Gex rushed after larxene and jumped through her portal before it closed. He sucked at opening corridors that was obvious. If he didn't he didn't go through this one he'd never find her again. Falling through the darkness he popped out the otherside into an emaculately white room. What this the castle? Before he could dwell on the subject, he tripped on his momentum and landed on top of larxene.

"Ooh this is gonna hurt when I regain conciousness." he said to her face, He was gonna get beat up so so hard.

 

Axel shook his head at Roxas first question. "No, I wouldn't even dream of you leaving her to raise this baby on her own. I can see how you care deeply about her. I have faith in you, doing this, but it doesn't have to be by yourselves," he replied casually. "Yeah, I actually would love to be part of this child's life. There is only one person that we need to worry about though and that person is Larxene," he narrowed his eyes slightly when he said her name. Axel knew how cruel the savage nymph can be at times and wouldn't want her to not know or even think of doing anything to harm poor Xion. "I say we find Xion before Larxene does," he began summoning a portal.


Leon watched Demyx leave into the portal as he approached Cloud as the warrior sat on the couch. "Okay, if we do this, then we will have more powerful heartless or nobodies and more enemies. Is that what you want? To fight for all eternity? Cloud I am sorry to say this, but this whole contract has actually caused a war," He folded his arms. "We have a heartless and nobody Sepiroth who is even more powerful running around, who the hell is next?"

 

Roxas smiled, glad that Axel would take that duty and be able to help care for his child if anything ever happened.But what was the big deal with Larxene now anyway?

"Larxene? I don't see why your making such a big deal out of her, she shouldn't even care. You know her, so do I." he told his friend as the portal was made.Once made he stepped through, hoping to find Xion okay.He had wasted enough time already.

 

Aerith was running by when a portal opened. She stopped, then watched, uncertain. It might be someone bad..but if so she was ready. She held her staff, watching. If it was someone good...maybe they could tell her where Xion and Cloud where.
