yume watched as he fell asleep.
she couldn't seem to take her eyes off of him, but then a thought occurred to her.
he's asleep. and i'm untied. now is the only chance i have at escaping if i want to be free.
yume looked at him for a little longer before standing up.
i'm sorry. i don't know what my father did to you and i wish i could help, but there is nothing i can do. at least now there isn't. he will surely find out that you were the one who took me, whether i tell him or not and once he duz find out there will be nothing to change his mind about you.
she gave him one long last glance than walked to the entrance of his tent.
she stuck her head out the entrance and sure enough, there were guards standing there.
figures. of course he wouldn't just fall asleep with me untied like this.
yume gave one big sigh than sat down on the ground by the opening, not even caring that a princess should never get their dress dirty.
before long she fell back asleep on the ground.

 

Eva nodded, then went outside, petting the horse. She cooed to it, singing as she wrote a letter explaining what had happened to the prince, saying he was dead. Then the horse took off, and she turned, thinking.

 

Felix layed down agian, faceing a wall.

 

the dream started almost exactly where it left off.

"who are you?"
the man looked down at her disappointed.
"don't you know of me? i know of you."
she thought for a long while before she gave up and spoke again.
"you seem so familiar. why can't i remember who you are?"
the unnamed man was about to speak again when there was another crack of twigs.
this made yume jump in his arms.
"yume, yume are you out there? father sent me to come find you. sir twem is also with me."
that voice, it was her brothers, prince felix.
"felix i'm over he--"
"No! you can't let them find us. if you want to know who i am and where you were supposed to be headed, you must keep our location a secret."
princess yume stared at the man and then nodded.
she heard the sound of footsteps going in a different direction.
"father must be so worried about me. i mean to send felix and sir twem after me, he must be filled with fright."​

yume rolled over in her sleep.
dirt now covered her dress.

 

Eva sighed, then locked the door behind her. "What weapons do you use?" she asked, heading into the kitchen again.

 

"swords...why?" said Felix.

 

Eva tossed one out, leting it clatter to the floor at his feet. "You'll need it."

 

yume squirmed a little bit to let the man know she wanted out of his arms.
he then let her go.
"so, will you show me my way now? to the place i was looking for?"
the man nodded and then started to walk forward.
she followed closely behind him for a long time.
the two came to a dark cave some ways down the path.
"let's go."
the man held out his arm signaling for her to go first.
princess yume declined.
"it doesn't look safe and it's rather dark. maybe we should wait til morning when there is more light to be seen in the cave."
he shook his head no.
"by morning there will be many knights in these woods looking for you. we can not wait that long."
without another word the man walked into the cave.
yume shouted after him when she heard a noise that sounded almost like a growl.
"NO! STOP! DON'T GO IN THE CAVE! THERE'S SOMETHING IN THERE!"​

not only were her shouts inside her dream, but she was also yelling them outloud.
yume thrashed on the ground in her sleep while she shouted.

 

"why will I need it?" said Felix.

 

Eva pulled out a bow, slinging it and some arrows over her shoulder. "Because if they suspect I'm hiding you, both you and I will be targeted."

 

"oh..that is true. What will we do if they come here?" said felix standing up, he staggered a bit.

 

"Kill you, and me." Eva said calmly, testing a katana.

 

"oh...yeah." said felix he closed his eyes.

 

Eva looked at him. "are you sure your okay?"

 

"uh...i'm fine." said Felix.

 

Eva watched him, then ducked back in the kitchen.

 

yume's own screaming woke herself up.
she was breathing hard.
what just happened?
she stood up, just now realizing she was still on the ground and now completely covered in dirt.
i need to clean my dress. a princess should never be covered in dirt.
yume stood there and tried brushing her dress off a bit, but with little result.

 

Phenox happened to be walking to the tent when he saw a girl blocking his path. he looked at her with questioning blue eyes. "you seem familiar...." he said stroking his chin.

 

felix sighed and endded up falling asleep.

 

Eva pressed her back against the doorway, putting her head in her hands. What was she thinking? That she could take on her own clan? That she could actually keep them safe? She had no idea where the Princess was......and did it even matter? She sighed.
