A Knights Tale

Felix sat back down, his sprained ankle couldn't support his weight any longer. "I made James, or Dad mad...He was orgianlly going to kill me, but at the time I was to young, and he thought my punishment should be to become king... he knew I hated being royal and wanted to live with my mom...also He was marrried to who he was married to after your mom, and I hated that lady so much and she was the reason I ran away alot...and he thought no more of my nocsence of running away from my royal duties to be with my mom, then right in front of me...He...he stabbed her to death." A tear rolled down Felix's cheek, he quickly wiped it away.

 

yume sighed a sad sigh.
"all right"
she took her arms off him and slipped her hand into his.
"let's go"

 

"Ok then. Let's go." He walked along next her and they finally arrived at the camp. "So what am I to do now?"

 

yume looked up at him confused.
"i-i'm not sure...whatever you normally do, i suppose?"

 

Hoshi then looked at Felix wiping the tear away and her eyes turned a deep blue in sadness. "I feel sorry for your loss. My mom was killed for another reason. because she was too young to be queen. He married her when she was only 16. he killed her when she was 17. because he didn't want the queen to be close in age with his children. so he killed her. after he killed her a few years later when you ran off for a week I decided to go out for a bit too. one of the guards found me and brought me back. He said 'I don't want another one' and slashed my eyes. soon i took up feeling vibrations and look now. I can even see that owl up in that tree eating a mouse." she said after pointing at a tree. "When i jumped off the wall. not a wise idea, i couldn't see."

 

"oh..." said Felix, "but there is more to my story...The reason he really hates me...is later in the story."

 

yume wondered what her family was doing.
i really do miss them all...felix...yenzo...hoshi...but...i feel as if my attachment towards papa is slowling slipping away...why is that? i havent even been here that long i'm already seperating my feelings. how come? everyone is always talking bad about papa and i dont understand why. i wish somebody would explain this all to me... why does everyone hate papa so much?

 

Hoshi raised her eyebrow at the comment. "Oh really? continue the story then. hey wait. what happened to Yume?"

 

Yenzo was in the woods as his fox pack stayed beside him he wore a smile but he wonderd what his dad was thinking. He yawned it was getting realy late so he found a patch of flowers to lay on. Yenzo shivered cause the temperature became very cold and became windy. His fox pack saw that their leader was cold they layed beside him providing Yenzo warmth. "thank you guyz" He said to the foxes smiling before he went to sleep "fortune i hope you havnt forgotten about me" he said to himself while he slept.

 

"she was kidnapped...but Dad hates me because when I was seven, when I frist learned to use swords, I attacked him, Anger was rageing inside of me from my mothers death two years earlier. You know that huge, thick scar on dad's arm?" said Felix.

 

Hoshi the shrugged at the question. "How would i know? ever since i was 5 besides today i have had to pretend I was blind. plus, when i forget he is always wearing that armor with the dragon on it blocking his arms. but i do notice that he gives you that really evil look while he is walking by you." she said as her eyes turned back to their normal green color.

 

Fortune wakes up and starts piking out the tangled rose from her hair. Sleeping with it in wasn't the best idea, but at least my hair smells good. She steps ot of bed and pulls her hair to her face to get a better smell. Her father is just about to walk out the door "Don't destroy the mill while I'm gone and I want carrots in the stew tonight," he says before he puts his hat on and walks out the door. Fortune grabs a piece of bread to nibble on and some shillings and starts heading twards town.

 

"well...The truth about the scar is I caused it and many more, he hides it with his armor... because he was told to...I...I actually took most of the skin off of his arm you could see the bone when I was done...there was blood all over the place...and he wanted to kill me then and there...but...he did something else to make me suffer instead of escapeing the pain..." said Felix whinceing as pain struck his stomach.

 

Hoshi sat down at a tree nearbye to where he was and looked up. "and that would be?"

 

"Abusing me by...useing a whip..." said Felix rolling his long sleved shirt down, he always wore a long sleeved shirt to hide his scars.

 

Yenzo woke up he saw that his pack was still sleeping so he headed to the stream that was by town. He started taking off all his cloths then he walked into the glistening water then he started to wash himself in the stream. Yenzo relaxed while he washed his body in the water he was not paying attention not worried about anyone that could see him. He got his silver hair wet then fliped his hair out of his eyes making the water go in the air sparkling around him.

 

Hoshi stared instantly at the scar her hands now shaking in pain then she breathed slowly. "Ouch. that look it.. hurt." she said then brushing some make up off her eyes showing one long slash going down. another across down to her nose and another one horizontal. "This. Is one of the reasons i hate dad. and i know why people are going against him. this whole thing with my eyes is the reason no one lets me go swimming in the summer. cause he told everyone i lost my eye sight naturally." she said now holding her knees. "i'll re-apply tomorrow. but some time these scars might be useful to me."

 

Felix winced in pain, he endded up falling over and on to his side. His head was touching the ground, he put his hands on his stomach, his eyes shut, tears slipping out, and grunting every so often. "you may not see me tomarrow." whispered Felix, while breathing deeply.

 

Hoshi instantly jumped up and ran over to Felix and bent down. "I wouldn't say that. Life isn't worth loosing and death isn't worth taking early. but." she pointed over to the moon at a little black spot where she said her mother was "If i happen to die earlier than you. i will be right there trust me." she said then looking down at Felix. "But besides that don't put yourself down."

 

"Hoshi...when i return to the castle...Father will surely take my life." said Felix, "and I know that will most likely happen...I don't know where I'll be in the sky, but I'll be up there and you'll surely find me...But it it is my job..." Felix Looked at Hoshi, "if he doesn't kill me then...I'll most likely be forced to be married." said Felix he smiled slightly before whinceing agian. "I'm doing this to help you and veryone else."
