A King's Story

The King put Kaida down and smiled at her. "Oshus is my name." He looked over at Kazune. "Its nice to see you again, Fire Prince." He finally looked at Reese. "Oh? We haven't met before."

 

"my name is Reese. i am your son in-law."

 

Oshus looked back and forth from Kaida to Reese. "Son-in-law?" He smiled. "Guess then you'll be the next Ice King then."

 

"yeah. wow... king of Twilight Village... now the next Ice King..." he laughed. "a lot of power."

 

Kaida smiled at her father and Reese getting along. "Come on you two. I need to talk privately with you." He started to walk away into a different room.

 

Reese followed behind. he had a bad feeling.

 

Oshus led them to a room and sat on one of the sofas. "Since your gonna be royalty here, Reese, then i have a gift for you." He brought something out of his pocket and moved it out to Reese with cupped hands.

 

Reese reached for it.

 

Oshus opened up his hands and in a flurry, a little blue fairy flew out and into Reese's hands. It started to glow brightly in his hands.
Kaida stared at the fairy. "It looks cute."

 

Reese smiled at it. "thanks."

 

Oshus smiled. "You haven't seen all of it yet."
The fairy started to glow even brighter and it flew up to Reese's chest. It got absorbed into Reese.
Kaida looked at her father. "Is it supposed to do that?!" Oshus just sat back. "Just watch."

 

Reese looked at where it was. "wha?"

 

The glow started to take over Reese's body and soon he was glowing all over.

 

Reese looked at himself. "w-what?"

 

Oshus clicked his fingers and ice spikes hurtled towards Reese. Without Reese doing anything, a ice barrier came up and blocked the spikes.
Kaida gasped. "Magik!"

 

Reese laughed. "heh heh... cool."

 

Oshus stood up. "The woman here are born with Ice powers and magik. Men aren't and have to learn but absorbing a ice fairy is like a shortcut. You need to know magik so I gave it to you." He started to walk away. "Your'e free to roam the Kingdom."
Kaida waited until Oshus was gone and kissed Reese. "I'm glad you can do magik now."

 

Reese kissed back. "yeah. it's cool."

 

"Should we go look around?" Kaida asked.

 

Reese nodded. "i say so."
