A King's Story

Ryan looked at them all as if they were mad. "I'm not royalty. My family are commoners."
Kazune shook his head. "He'll see us."

 

" that's not right, i don't believe in social status"

 

"but thats rude everybody should be treated the same

"Well whoever runs the Fire Kingdom has a very backwards society." Ryan crossed his arms.
Kazune's fist clenched.

 

" i wouldn't say that to his face , y'know"she frowned

 

Ryan looked up at Xyam. "What? Status has alot of impact on the Water Kingdom. Commoners don't see Royalty whenever, Royalty marry Royalty, Commoners marry commoners..."
Kazune frowned. "Heh. The King of The Fire Kingdom doesn't even see it like that. He's fallen in love with a commoner and sometimes, he even thinks of marriage." He pushed past Ryan and walked off.

 

xyam blushed slightly. "social status is a stupid idea , nobody is any different to anybody else, regardless of how much money or education or heritage they have" she followed him.

 

Ryan ran after them both. "WAIT!"
Kazune walked up to the entrance of the palace. He was stopped by two guards.

 

she turned to ryan "well?"

 

"Why is Kazune so upset?" Ryan asked.
"STOP! Only people with access to see the King shall pass here." The guards said.
Kazune frowned at them both. "What if it was a fellow King, wanting to see a friend?"

 

" figure it out, pint-size" she frowned

 

"Hmph. All I did was talk about the King." Ryan protested.
The guards frowned. "We'll need proof of that sir. Please take off your bandages and hand over a royalty right!"

 

she bent down to his eye height " exactly" she said then stood back up

 

Ryan frowned, wondering what the hell he did.
Kazune sighed and started to take off his bandages. Taking them off, he put them in his pocket and opened his eyes. .... nothing. He was as blind as he was with them on.

 

" can you see anything?, at all?" she looked at his eyes

 

Kazune looked towards Xyam. Blinking afew times, still nothing appeared. "No... I'm blind...." He looked back at the guards and took out a scroll. "Here. Read it and Weep."
The guards took it and read it.

 

" do you think it's permanent?" she completly ignored the guards

 

Kazune shrugged. "It means until I adapt, I'll have to depend on you more...."
The guards gasped and handed back the scroll. "Kazune sir! We apologise for our behaviour!"
Kazune shook his head. "Its fine."

 

" thats not too bad, i can cope with that"she smiled

 

The guards opened the doors to let them both in.
Kazune took Xyam's hand and walked inside.
