A King's Story 4: Fading Light

"Please believe me sir. Like you've done before..." Rika said, looking straight at him. "I don't want it to happen again."
"Rika-chan..." Sunohara frowned.

 

"I'VE NEVER BELIEVED YOU BEFORE AND I'M NOT GONNA START NOW!" His eyes had hazed over so that they were completely white.

 

"I'm not scared Lawliet! I've seen this before!" Rika shouted.

 

He suddenly burst into flames and marched towards her. "WELL SEE THIS!" he hit her across the face.

 

Rika's head snapped back. Across the right side of her face was a burn mark in the shape of his hand. "5th time...." She muttered before collapsing to the floor.
Sunohara's eyes widened. "RIKA!" He looked at L. "YOU BAASTARD!" He lunged at him.

 

"DON'T YOU COME NEAR ME!"L flung fire in his direction.

 

Sunohara easily dodged it, tackling Lawliet to the floor. "YOU BAASTARD! YOU HURT RIKA-CHAN!" He punched at his head.
Rika laid there, slipping out of conciousness on the floor.

 

A great jet of flames exploded from L's mouth straight up at Sunohara.

 

The flames never touched Sunohara, neither did the punch. Satoru had stopped them both. "Sunohara! Lawliet!"
Sunohara looked up, only to be whacked around the head.
Satoru grabbed L by his hair and Sunohara by his ears, pulling them up. He looked extremely pissed off at them both.

 

L was still billowing fire all over the place. He attempted to kick his way free and claw at Satoru's hand.

 

Satoru glared at them both, ignoring L's attacks. "Sunohara. Attacking L won't make him anymore happy about this place." He threw him down. "Take Rika and look after her. Bring Matsuda with you. And you." He looked at L. "Stop breathing fire and clawing like a wild animal. You're coming with me." Satoru started dragging him away, towards his tent.
Sunohara got up frowning before picking Rika up.

 

L tried everything to mak him let go."I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE WITH YOU, LET GO!!!"

Matsuda tugged on Sunohara's trousers.

 

"Tough titty." Satoru frowned, not letting go. Heading into his tent, he stopped and looked at L. "Okay then. Explain what started that shiit storm back there. And first off, I won't shout if you stop shouting yourself."

Sunohara looked down at him. "Whats wrong?" He knelt to his height.

 

Opal opened her eyes to look at him, "You sure you don't want to move?"

 

"I'm sure." Abee looked around the room before looking at Raffaello.
Raffaello was looking at him.

 

"Okay but relax" She shut her eyes yet again.

 

Abee nodded. "Okay."

 

Opal snuggled around in bed to make herself comfortable.

 

"Hey."
Abee looked up to see Sapphira, carrying a little girl.
"How's everything?" Sapphira asked, smiling and sitting next to him.
"Fine. Raffaello was born okay." Abee smiled, looking at him.
"Lyra fell asleep an hour ago." Sapphira looked at her.

 

Opal smiled, falling asleep.
