A King's Story 4: Fading Light

"The one we've put her in of course. She's in a deep coma type state, she can't move or respond in anyway, but, she can hear"

 

"My son is stopping me from changing bodies. Interesting." More droplets fell on Raffaello.
Raffaello shifted around, trying to avoid the droplets. He looked like he was about to cry again.

"So I wonder what's making her scream." Dark frowned.

 

"Well considering all she can hear is us beating up Kazune and she can't do a thing. plus the place she's in inside her head is pretty creepy"

 

"What's in her head then?" Dark asked.

 

"A big empty room, 'cept all the walls are made of plastic baby dolls, they just stare at her"

 

Opal looked at Raffaello, "Hey, are you okay? Where's the water coming from?"

 

"I guess that's scary." Dark didn't look very happy.

"Though for some reason, I'm sad. Maybe it's because I can remember my friends dying. I never had the time to cry for them. And when I did, I couldn't even r-remember th-them...." Abee looked up. He was crying.

 

Opal got up, walked over and put her arm round him, "There, there"

 

Abee rested against her, crying silently.
Raffaello watched him, tilting his head to the side.

 

Opal rubbed his back slowly, a bit unsure what to do as she sadly watched him.

 

Raffaello looked at them both. He was being ignored. His face screwed again before crying too.
Abee looked at Raffaello before hugging him gently.

 

Opal smiled slightly, and ruffled the whisps of his hair.

 

Raffaello carried on crying, but not as loud as before. "Dade....."
Abee blinked, looking at him. "Dade? That sounds like he was trying to say Daddy."

 

"Yeah, our baby is so clever" Opal said, her face beaming once more.

 

"Daddy." Raffaello mumbled.
Abee's eyes widened.

 

Opal couldn't believe her ears, "His first word and he's less than an hour old" She gasped.

 

Abee nodded, looking at Raffaello.
Raffaello smiled. "Daddy. Daddy, Daddy Daddy!"

 

Opal laughed, "I think he likes his dad"

 

"I think he does like his Daddy very much." Abee tickled his tummy.
Raffaello giggled, squirming around and pushing his hand away using his hands and feet.
