A King's Story 4: Fading Light

"Wieanke.." Raffaello mumbled.
Abee smiled. "What do you think he's dreaming about?"

 

"I have no idea but I hope it's something nice" Opal smiled.

 

Abee nodded.
Raffaello's face crunched up before starting to cry.
Abee blinked. "Or not!"

 

Opal carefully picked up, Raffaello and rocked him gently. "There, there, calm down. What's wrong? Are you hungry?"

 

Abee watched Raffaello, frowning slightly.
Raffaello carried on crying.

 

Opal a little unsure what to do, rocked him soothingly, whispered sweetly to him and pulled down her top a little to allow to get to one of her breasts to feed.

 

Raffaello shunned it, crying more.
Abee watched him. "Dango. Dango. Dango. Dango. Dango. Dango Daikazoku. Dango. Dango. Dango. Dango. Dango. Dango Daikazoku~"
Raffaello started to calm down slightly before hiccuping.
"I think he just had a bad dream." Abee smiled. "Poor thing."

 

Opal handed him to Abee and pulled up her shirt, "Yeah, I need to improve at this parenting thing"

 

Abee shook his head, holding Raffaello. "We've been parents for only 40 minutes. You can't blame yourself." He smiled. "I don't know why, it's like I knew what he wanted. To be sang to and reassured."

 

"I guess, I wish I knew that" Opal smiled.

 

Abee nodded. "Cute." He wiped some tears from Raffaello's face.
Raffaello hiccuped again.
Abee smiled more at him. "Shakkuri."

 

Opal looked up at Abee, "Shakkuri?"

 

"It means 'Hiccup'. I don't know what language though. Or why I even know that word." Abee laughed slightly.

 

"Oh right, how curious" Opal said, still smiling.

 

"Yeah... Curious...." Abee replied, looking down at Raffaello. His hair covered his face.

 

Opal looked at Abee, "You alright?"

 

Abee nodded. "Memories are coming back again. But I don't feel faint like I normally do."

 

Opal frowned, "Okay? Is that good or bad?"

 

"I don't really know. I think it just means that I don't have to switch through new bodies anymore." A small water droplet landed on Raffaello's face.
Raffaello blinked in suprise.

 

"I wonder if it's got somethin to do with Raffaello" Opal said looking at him.
