A King's Story 4: Fading Light

The Shadow moved outside, jumping onto the large white wolf.
A smaller wolf let Lawliet and Amai sit on him.

The girl looked back at Matsuda. "Don't worry sir. We'll get you to safety."

 

Matsu Hugged onto the girl.

 

The girl smiled at him.

The Shadow frowned, looking around as if he was waiting for someone. "Rika-chan....."

"I'm here Sir!" Rika jumped over the bakery on the wolf.
The Shadow grinned. "Lets get outta here!"
The Wolves got up, running away.

 

Vivienne watched them frowning. "Looks like they didn't wanna play"

 

"Let them leave." Dark frowned.

The Wolves headed away from the city.
The Shadow looked back at Lawliet. "So this is the first time I get to meet you. You look a lot like your father."

 

"Should we move the carcasses?"

L looked puzzled. "You know dad?"

 

Dark nodded.
Kazune was smiling, watching the wolves go.
Dark scowled, kicking him hard.

The Shadow laughed. "Know him? Of course I know my own little brother!" He grinned. "You probably heard of me. My names Satoru Haine, your uncle."
Rika smiled. "My name is Rika."

 

"ummm........I think dad mentioned you from time to time, I can't remember"

Vivienne had decided to Kick Xyam down the corridor like a tin can.

 

Satoru shrugged. "Ah well, thats my lil bro for you." He looked at Matsu. "You must be Matsuda. You look like bro too." He noticed Rika. "Take off your mask Rika-chan.-
Rika smiled before taking it off and untying her hair. "Happy sir?"
"Yup."

Kazune glared at Vivi.

 

Neither Matsu or L had anything to say.

Viv noticed and booted her across the corridor giggling.

Satoru looked away, facing forward.
Rika looked at the three of them. "Where we live is on the World below. We live in handmade tents in the forest and live off the forest. I think you would call that 'extreme camping'. But its nice and you'll get used to it.'

 

Still no reply.

 

Rika looked at Matsu, her big blue eyes making her look younger then him. "Don't worry sir. You'll pull through."

 

Matsu hugged her tighter and sniffed.

 

"You should not be troubled by these problems~" Rika sang. "No matter what happens what happens I'm sure you can pull through~" She smiled more.

 

Matsuda cried into her back.

 

Rika turned around, hugging him. "Momma told me that if you're sad about loosing someone, think of the happy times. So when I miss her, I think of the happy times too."

 

Matsuda was too upset to reply.

 

"When was the last time you saw them?" Rika asked, hugging tighter

 

"About 10 minutes ago"
