A King's Story 3: Dark Secrets

Opal looked back and took the pouch with a slight frown on her face, "Is this for me?"

 

"No. It's for all your friends to share when you get back from your little holiday here." Sayotu replied, his voice dripping with sarcasism.

 

"Im sleepy"

 

Kami kissed him back. "Want to give it a go?"

 

Kazune smiled. "Nap time for you then." He yawned. "And maybe me too. Artemis forced me out of bed at 5 in the morning....."
Artemis rolled his eyes.

Lucas opened his mouth to say something as a knock came at the door. "Just our luck..... Who is it?" He muttered before calling out.
"Darren, sir. You have a message from your father."
"Darren, I am in a foul mood and would hate to take it out on you. Just slide it under the door and be off." Lucas replied, putting on a upset voice.
A small note came under the door before Darren walked off.

Kami was slighty frozen then eased up as Darren left. "That was close."

 

Lucas nodded. "Butler doesn't know I'm devoid of a few emotions yet." He got off Kami and walked over, picking up the note. Walking back to the bed, he got in but stayed sitting up. Lucas broke the wax seal and started to read.

 

Kami sat up, making sure to keep herself covered. "Is it something important?"

 

Lawliet buried his head into his shoulder.

 

Lucas read the first line. He gripped the paper slightly tighter. "Why does he insist on calling me that...?" The note was written in a different language.

Kazune looked at Xyam. "I'll put him to bed."

 

She nodded. "I think I'll get out now anyway"

 

"Call you what?" Kami asked, brushing her hair back with her hand.

 

Kazune nodded back and walked out, heading towards Lawliet's room.

Lucas rested his head on her shoulder, leaning against her slightly. "Beautiful Trash...."

 

Kami tilted her head slightly. "He called you that?"

 

Xyam be getting out of bath and stuff.....

 

"He calls me that, my younger step-sister does too." Lucas looked up at her, slightly upset. "It's because I'm the only Nobody in my family. My father is human and he fell for my mother. When I was 6, she died, faded away. My father went with another woman who said to me that for a boy, I was very beautiful. But my father see's me and my kind as trash. Beautiful Trash...."

Artemis politely took Akuji and Light, who was now changed, out of the bathroom.

Kazune walked into Lawliet's room and put him down on the bed with the towel. Moving to his wardrobe, he pulled out a pair of dinosaur pj's.

 

"That's awful...utterly awful." Kami stroked his cheek. "What kind of parent would do such a thing?"
