A King's Story 3: Dark Secrets

"Look, there!" Lucas pointed down the road to a ice cream shop. He smiled, running along.

"The patronising wife act doesn't suit YOU either." Cid replied. "But I can be evil when I want to. Ask Kami or your father. They'll tell you."

 

Kami smiled and ran along with him.

Nel crossed her arms, pouting slightly. "I mean that I prefer the sweet and gentle side of you."

OOC: What's patronising? ::L:

 

Lucas stopped outside, looking at it. "Wow...... I'm starting to feel like my Kingdom should try to get up to date with the world instead of staying in a feudal era....."

Cid smiled and kissed her cheek. "Awh. So what do we do with this guy?"

OOC: Nagging really.

 

Kami smiled at him. "I actually love your Kingdom the way it is."

Nel shrugged. "Don't ask me. My mind's still a bit fuzzy from turning 5 to 15."

 

"I like it too. But I'm still not too fond of having to wear a kimono for anything royal like outtings to other Kingdoms, birthdays, weddings, funerals...." Lucas sighed slightly. "And there's no such thing as Ice Cream or Arcades!"

"I have no clue either." Cid frowned slightly.

 

Kami looked up. "But it's so peaceful. And relaxing. Plus I happen to love kimonos." She smiled more.

"why not ask you brother?" Nel suggested.

 

Lucas blushed slightly. "Well, I'm glad I'm not wearing one now otherwise I'd look odd here."

"Knowing my brother, he'll beat this guy up to a bloody pulp." Cid replied.

 

Kami placed her hand on his shoulder. "I wouldn't mind wearing one along with you." She smiled sweetly.

Nel blinked. "I got nothing."

 

Lucas blushed more. "R-Really....?"

"Oh dear." Cid sighed and picked the person up again, taking him back into the village.

 

Kami nodded. "Of course."

Nel followed after him. Her stomach growled.

 

"Thanks...." Lucas smiled.

"You're hungry." Cid laughed.

 

"You're welcome. Now let's get some ice cream." Kami walked into the ice cream shop.

Nel blushed. "Well I haven't ate since the explosion."

 

Lucas followed after her shyly. He hadn't been in one of these anymore.

"Hang on." Cid smiled

 

Kami took a seat at the counter.
The ice cream man turned around to look at her. "Kami! Welcome back!" He looked at Lucas. "Who's this? And where's Alphonse?"

Nel stood still and waited.

 

Opal laughed, "I'm coming, it's gonna take a bit more than few dogs to stop me"

 

"Hey! no fair! two against one!"

 

"I'm Lucas, Kami's friend." Lucas smiled, sitting next to Kami.

Cid went away for awhile. He then came back, carrying fruit. "Sorry, this is the easiest thing I could find for now that doesn't envole cooking...... which I can't do...." He muttered the last part.

Abee took her hand and jumped off the balcony.

Artemis stepped in the room, watching the three. He blinked before starting to laugh.
Akuji smiled, watching them.

 

Kami was too distracted to pay attention to them.
The ice cream facepalmed then looks at Lucas. "Howdy then. Name's Jesse. You ain't from around here are ya?"

Nel smiled at him and took a banana. "Thank you."

 

Lucas shook his head. "Light Kingdom."

"You're welcome." Cid smiled back.

 

"Yeah!!" Opal shouted as they jumped off the balcony.
