A King's Story 3: Dark Secrets

Lucas followed after Kami, laughing.

Cid walked into the village, looking around.
The children from earlier ran by them, laughing. Suddenly, they stopped and turned to look at them both.
Cid raised an eyebrow. "What's wrong?"
"The Son of Bunansa is back."
"Back."
"With a HUMAN."
Everyone seemed to stop and looked at them both.

"I see. It's maybe because you were born instead of appearing out of thin air like Xyam."

 

Kami stopped skipping and walked. "So where would you like to go first?"

Nel turned red a bit and shyed away behind Cid.

 

"How should I know? I've never been around the city before!" Lucas smiled.

"She's not a human." Cid frowned.
"Well she's not a Vampire!" One of the children shouted.
"Why've you brought her here, you trai-"
"Stop." A person stepped out, looking at the children. "The girl is a Nobody. A person without a heart. She's been marked, it's okay."

 

Kami laughed too. "Well name something you'd like to do, then!"

Nel stayed quitely behind Cid.

 

"Umm...." Lucas started to think. "I really don't know."

Cid watched the person, frowning slightly.
"Heh. Always the person to dabble in the lives of humans, Dr Cidolfus Demen Bunansa." The person smirked.
Cid blinked. "Tyson?"
"Damn right."

 

"Well I don't know if I can randomize here." Kami laughed. "Arcade sound good?"

Nel peeked slighty at Tyson.

 

"What's an arcade?" Lucas asked, raising an eyebrow.

Cid smiled. "It's been a long time since I've seen you."
"20 years to be exact. Lemme guess, Hikaru and Kaoru have grown up and had children, Mary's dead and in that space of time, you've met this girl you've you've fallen for." Tyson said.
Cid nodded. "Pretty much. Tyson, this is Nel. Nel, this is my big brother Tyson."

 

Kami shook her head. "C'mon." She grabbed his hand and ran off into town.

Nel remained behind Cid, looking shyly at Tyson without a word.

 

"Oh thanks, you saying I can't feel?"

 

Lucas blushed more, being dragged along.

The children watched Nel quietly. One of the little ones walked up to Nel, pulling at her dress. "Ne, ne. If yous Cid girlyfwiend and Chief says yous okay, wanna play together?" He looked up at her with big red eyes.
Cid looked at Nel, smiling. "Don't worry. They won't bite. If you pardon the irony in that saying."

 

Kami made it to the arcade. "This is it! The best arcade in the Kingdom and maybe even the world!"

Nel looked down at the boy and smiled then nodded. "O-Okay. What do you want to play?"

Lucas peered in, watching the machines. "But Kami, you still haven't told me what one is...."

"Ummm...." The child began to think. "Hidey and Seeky!" He smiled.
The other children looked at eachother before starting to crowd around Nel, smiling.

"No, its just that normally Nobodies born like you don't have emotions." Kazune smiled at her.

 

Kami looked at him. "It's a reall cool place where you play videogames. Trust me, it's a lot of fun!"

Nel smiled more. "Sounds like fun. You guys hide and I'll seek."

 

"sod normality" she frowned.

 

"O-Okay then...." Lucas looked at the games there were.

The children grinned and ran off, trying to hide.
Cid watched them. "Ishbalans. I thought there wasn't very many left."
"I thought so too until suddenly a small tribe of them came 3 years after you left." Tyson replied, smiling.
"Where's lil sis?" Cid asked.
"She's with her mate, having 'private time'." Tyson snickered.
"There's nothing wrong with love Tyson."

"Good point." Light grinned.
Akuji stirred, waking up slightly.
Light blinked and suddenly changed back to being a 8 year old.
Artemis smiled and picked her up. "Morning sweetie."
"Did chu go see Mommy?" Akuji asked, half asleep.
"Yes. But I had to come back to be with you. Mommy says she misses you."

 

Kami grabbed his hand again. "Let's go in!"

Nel placed her head on a tree and started counting. "10... 9... 8... 7..."

 

L remained fast asleep.

 

Lucas allowed himself to be dragged inside.
Darren waited paitently for when he could act without Lucas noticing.

The smallest child kept on looking around for a place to hide. Not finding one, he pulled off his shirt and blindfolded himself.

 

Kami immediately rans to the Dance game. "You like to dance, Lucas?"

"0! Ready or not! Here I come!" Nel began to look and noticed the small boy. She giggled and passed by him.

 

Lucas looked at the dance mat. "I've only been taught ballroom dance...." He frowned slightly.

The child stiffened up, hoping that he wouldn't be noticed.

Akuji smiled, clutching onto Artemis. "Did chu say that Akuji misses Mommy?"
Artemis nodded.
