A King's Story 3: Dark Secrets

Opal listened to them, slightly confused but smiling anyway.

 

"Y-You mean.... ARTEMIS HAS GIRL HAIR?!"
"HEY! Dare speak about His Highness like that and your head will fit nicely on a chop-"
Luna simply laughed harder. "No, no.... He doesn't. His hair is simply very long, but he ties it up in a ponytail and clips it to the back of his head! Using magik of course."

 

"Ah" Opal muttered understanding what they were saying now. She smiled happily at them.

 

"I can't show you guys a picture either. Knowing who he is and then just trying to strike up a conversation, asking how hard it is to rule an entire Kingdom will blow it." Luna smiled.
"How big IS this Kingdom then?" Akaito asked.
"Hmm.... It's hard to measure.... Our scales and yours are different."
"Think about the size of my bubble as the Kingdom here." Kikaito started.
Everyone turned to look at him.
"Think about the pupil of my eye as the floating continent."

 

"That's pretty big" Opal commented.

 

"Y-You're telling me that the floating coninent takes almost 3 years to see all of it and THIS Kingdom is BIGGER?!" Akaito exclaimed.
Kikaito nodded. "986 Floating Continents fit into this Kingdom. It'll take 2958 years to traverse this whole place."
Akaito practically died mentally.

 

Opal's mouth literally dropped open, her mind was struggling to comprehend the size of the continent.

 

"Really? It only takes me and Artemis around 2 days to get around the whole place. Or if we're seeing all the cities, a week." Luna started to think.
Abee's jaw dropped too. "Thats HUGE! WAY TOO BIG!"

 

Opal looked a tLuna, her eyes were wide, still amazed by the sheer size of the place "How do you get around so fast?"

 

"Probably because of the fact that we were born here. Luna shrugged. "The Whole Kingdom is under Artemis' reign. Everyone loves him or at least respects him. To think that a simple peasent boy would become a King."

 

"He was a peasent boy?" Opal asked curiously.

 

"Yes. Born April 1st, he was a peasent boy working on a farm. It wasn't until we were 15 when he saw me the first time. He was so rebelious. Snuck around the castle, took out a few guards just even if he could glimspe at me. One point he even pretended to be a young Master to sneak into one of our parties." Luna smiled.

 

Opal laughed, "That sounds awesome"

 

"Out of all the people my father tried to make me marry, Artemis stood out the most." Luna had started to blush.

 

"Good for you, you sound like a perfect couple" Opal said smiling.

 

"But with all things come ups and downs. Artemis is stubborn as a mule, if he can he'll occasionally spend all day with Light or Akuji, loves to eat tons of sweets, I once even found him floating in mid-air fast asleep at one time. But I can't help but love him." Luna smiled more.
"Hey..... That sounds an awful lot like Kazune...." Abee pointed out, looking at Opal. "You remember? The Fire King and one of the Chosen Ones. He was very stubborn and kept on eating sweets during the jorney. Remember when a servant found him fast asleep, floating around in the bedroom we lent him and Xyam?"
Luna blinked, watching Abee.

 

"Oh yeah, I remember. They do sound similar, do you think there could be a connection?" Opal asked Abee.

 

Kami nodded. "Yes I know. My father never told me I was to marry you. I just thought we were visiting on vacation. And that you happened to be there. And we became such good friends. It was fun."

 

Luna looked over at Opal. "Before Artemis went on his mission, he kept mentioning that he had a connection running deeper then blood with someone else."

Lucas smiled, nodding. "Yes. It was much fun. The most fun I've had ever since that was first meeting Darren."

 

Kami smiled too. "Who is this mysterious Darren, by the way?" She prodded him.
