A King's Story 3: Dark Secrets

Light grinned.
Suddenly smaller balls of flame appeared.
"One, two, three..... seven..... ten...." Light muttered, counting them. "Ten. Do you think Dexter had babies?"

 

Reese groaned. "Get off me, you're making me sick."

 

"His Vixen did I guess, he usually appears there by the lake"

 

Kaida let go of Reese, still smiling at him.

 

"What? Already?" Kami was surprised.

Josie stood up. "I need to fix my wrist first."

Nel carefully sat next to him.

 

"Oh! There she is!" Light pointed to the other side of the gardens, pointing at another ball of fire sitting by the lake.

 

Xyam stared at them dreamily.

 

"Yup." Alphonse grinned, standing up. "I'll be fine." He took a step but his knees buckled under him, causing him to fall to the floor. Laying on the floor, he blinked. "Scratch that, I can't walk."

"Go ahead. I'll look after everyone." Katie replied, walking over to a child.

"Become a scientist, leave my family, start a new one only for it to die, try to start another one and it blows up in my face because of this." Cid frowned.

 

Reese got an evil smile. "Where's Alphonse?"

 

Kaida pointed at his bedroom door. "He was in there last time I saw him."

 

"Good news. You are not going to die... Alphonse is." Reese walked towards the bedroom.

 

A small flood of dread washed through Kaida's body but she didn't show it. She watched Reese.

 

Kami kneld next to him. "I don't think it's a good idea for you to go anywhere right now."

Josie walked into another room and started to prepare for her self-operation.

Nel gulped. "What are you talking about?"

 

Reese walked inside. "Alphonse?"

 

"Yeah, I guessed." Alphonse sat up, rubbing his cheek.

Katie sighed, watching Josie before tending to a child.

"Its difficult for two people of different species to actually fall in love. You fell in love with the HUMAN me, so did Mary." Cid looked at her. "Human forms don't stay for long. Mine just disappeared."

 

Kami sat next to him. I'm sure she'll be okay for now."

Joisie got started.

"What do you mean?" Nel grew worried.

 

Alphonse nodded but reached towards his bag. Pulling out his phone, he flicked it open and stabbed in a number before putting it to his ear. "........ Yeah, hello?" He pulled it away, putting it on speaker.
"Alphonse? Why're you calling me? Can't you wait til I'm back home?" Sapphira's voice came through.
"Nope, it can't wait. Go home and you die."
"...... Al, really. Stop being a prick."

"How to put this nicely....... We can't be together." Cid replied.

 

Reese threw a dagger into the room, where Alphonse was.

 

Kami listened to their conversation.

Nel blinked. "Don't talk like that. I've already told you age doesn't matter."

"Listen, Dad is evil now." Alphonse replied.
sapphira didn't answer.

Cid instantly burst out laughing.
