A King's Story 3: Dark Secrets

Kami brushed his hair with her hand. "Okay. How will we get there?"

"I can't use power that are my own..." Josie said.

Nel looked at his eyes, confused.

 

"Rest first then I'll fly there." Alphonse replied.

"And that means?" Katie asked.

Cid raised an eyebrow. "What?"

 

"Okay." Kami helped Alphonse over to her bed.

"Let's put it this way, I can use others powers. Like a copycat of some sort." Josie took a seat.

Nel blinked. "You have yellow eyes."

 

Alphonse smiled at her help before collasping onto her bed. "I don't think i've flown that fast before...."

"Ditto." Katie shrugged. "So thats a bummer. But that in itself is a power. What Kingdom uses copycat powers?"

Cid instantly frowned, his eyes changing red. He landed back on the floor and let go of Nel, starting to pace up and down. "Damnit.... I thought drinking it would work! It works everytime before.... Why not now?!"

 

Kami sat next to him. "I hope everything turns out well."

"None that I know of..." Josie fidgeted with her hands.

Nel continued to stare at Cid. "What's going on?"

 

"Yeah..... If my sister is still with Nigaito, as much as I hate to say it, she'll stay with him. They like eachother enough and Sapphira doesn't complain when Mom sends her to stay with him for a day." Alphonse replied. "I'll stay here and hope that my Mom and Dad get over this..... this madness. I've got my cousin, uncle and aunt who can help them..."

"Oh dear...." Katie sighed. "We'll just have to look into it."

"My illness. It causes my eyes to turn yellow or red. Usually drinking that medcine helps but-" Cid stopped and looked at Nel. "Tell me, do I have fangs?" He opened his mouth. Two fangs were where his canine teeth should be.

 

"I'll help too." Kmai placed her hand on his head.

Josie looked at her. "I guess so."

Nel shook slightly. "Y-Yes.."

 

"Thanks." Alphonse smiled at her.

"When we have free time of course." Katie replied, looking over to the many children in the medical ward.

"Shiit." Cid shut his mouth and sat down on a sofa. "Today. One day of ALL days. It had to happen, TODAY." He took his glasses off and put them on a side table.

 

"If god or whoever hadn't meant us to eat animals, then why did he/she make them outta meat?"

 

"God is just a stupid figure that peasents created to give them false hope." Light replied.

 

"Smart one ain't ya?" she smiled again. "I don't believe in god either, if he was real then why do bad things still happen?"

 

"If he was real then he'd come down and take Mitsuki away." Light replied. "and yes, I guess I am."

 

She smiled then turned back to the window.

 

Light looked around at the lights.

 

Xyam suddenly stood up and leant out the window.

 

Kami smiled back.

Josie sighed. "Whatever."

Nel shook a bit more and walked toward him. "Are you okay?"

 

Light looked up at Xyam. "Whats wrong?"

Alphonse sighed and sat up. "Okay. To the Water Kingdom."

"Don't shirk work. Mistress'll personally use you for experiments if you don't work." Katie replied.

"Fine. Just mighty pissed off." Cid glared at the floor before taking off his lab coat.

 

She beckoned for him to come to the window. She pointed to a four-legged ball of flame wandering around below.

 

Light climbed up and looked at it. "Dexter?" He asked.

 

She nodded smiling.
