A King's Story 3: Dark Secrets

"What sweets does everyone want?" Xyam asked as she walked into the kitchen.

 

"Ummm.... Lollypops!" Akuji shouted.
Light shrugged. "Any really."
"Marshmellows!"

 

Xyam opened several cupboards and chucked out all sorts of sweets and candies.

 

Matt grabbed onto some.
Light picked up the rest, carrying them.

 

She shut them again and piled up bottles of fizzy pop.

 

Akuji grinned, watching them.
Light blinked. "I'm not having any. Neither are you Akuji." He looked at her.
"Awhh.... Why not Raito?" Akuji asked, giving puppy eyes.
"You won't remember but I do what happened last time you drank some." Light replied, frowning.

 

"Oh?, well does she like anything else to drink?"

 

"Milk!" Akuji grinned.

 

"Well I think we can manage milk, what about you Light?, what do you want?"

 

"Water." Light smiled.
"You two are boring, why can't you have fizzy pop?" Matt asked.
Light sighed. "due to the structure of our bodies, the compressed carbon dioxide in the fizzy pop will start a chain reaction of faults. For me, I get headaches then throw up violently. Akuji acts like she's drunk."

 

"Why can't children be normal anymore?"

 

"I explained to you before why. You know." Light replied.
Matt raised an eyebrow. "Eh?"

 

"I know, but you're all so complicated"

 

"Raito? What're you talking about?" Akuji asked.
"Something complicated."

 

Xyam sighed.

Alan hopped off Akuji's head and attached itself to Xyams.

 

Akuji blinked, watching Alan. "Alan! Come back!" She tried reaching for him.

 

Alan clutched onto mommy's head.

 

Akuji's eyes welled up with tears. "Alan....."

 

Alan hugged her head more.

 

Akuji started to cry, looking up at Alan.
