A God's War

Kinda based off another one of my RPs which…is still alive. O.o So I guess this is a sequel(for an unfinished RP lol)…but with lots of stuff being changed.

Story

During the ancient times, two powerful beings had enormous power. One upheld all that was good and just, Seraph, and his brother Malum, sought to destroy and corrupt everything his brother stood for. Malum was trapped once by Seraph. In due time he escaped and tried to gain control of mortal Earth. He was stopped by a small group of humans using the remnants of Seraph’s powers. When Malum was trapped once again, peace came about. Although, side effect occurred due to the extreme use of otherworldly magic.
First contact with magical creatures happened a year after the battle with Malum. First came the elves, then the shape shifters…then all sorts of beings came from the beyond…one of them having being the Ahura, priestesses who worshipped Seraph and prayed for his return.
With the appearance of magic, most needs for technological advances had come to nearly a grinding halt. After nearly a hundred years, all the races except the mystical Ahura who always retained their mother's traits soon blended in and mixed. Several thousands of years passed…technology had barely reached it’s once “Sci-fi” only levels of possibility. By now all races except the Ahura had forgotten the past. The reason for everything being the way it was. The battle against Malum.
Once again, the dark being is attempting to come back, corrupting several powerful men and women to do his bidding and aid in his arrival. The high priestess of the Ahura, an ancient woman, wishes to spread the knowledge of Malum’s new plot…although she knows that by doing this, she might expose herself and her fellow Ahura to one of Malum’s servants. She stays silent, teaching the others of the old ways of light magic to repel the corruption. The thing is…they’re still priestesses, not fighters.
Evil is coming. Nearly no one knows of it. The only hope of Earth’s salvation is in hiding. Few have the power to stop it. What else can go wrong?

Race list:

Humans- Your basic humans. They depend on technology to help them fight due to their inability to use magic. They can be a stubborn and very determined race at times.

Elves- Slightly physically superior than humans and gifted with both magic and heightened senses. Most elves are usually cunning and witty, although they love tricking others. They’re an unusually elegant and graceful race. Elves have an aversion to technology(meaning they don’t like it or use it unless they have to).

Shapeshifters- They look exactly like a human. The shapshifters even act alike to one. Practically the only difference is that they can change their appearance and even turn into animals.

Vampires- A pure vampire is a rare species. They are an extremely powerful and dangerous race. All vampires have “attitude” problems and are in essence, evil. The few half breeds there is are weaker than their pure vampire brethren but they have a somewhat calmed temperament compared to pure vampires and can walk in sunlight. All types of vampires are at least somewhat skilled in tracking. A handful can use earth-based magic.

Ahura- (FEMALES ONLY) An ancient human-like race that holds much knowledge of both Seraph and Malum. They are the biggest threat in Malum’s plan. If he knew they were on Earth, he would find a way to completely annihilate them. They’re very magically gifted and are secretive. There’s only one other being that even comes near them. Most have normal lives but all of them reside in one of several Cathedrals dedicated to Seraph. All but the current high priestess is mortal…
They’re also currently forbidden to mix with other races which has caused their numbers to dwindle(And no. Girl+girl doesn’t equal babies).
Only an Ahura can use light magic.

Hybrids- Nearly all hybrids of any species are physically superior to humans and a rare few have the ability to use magic. Avoid having an Ahura as a mother. D8

Partial bio: Was once a lowly mine digger. He found himself in a cave in and thought he would die. Malum offered him immortality and a way to become the owner of the mine in exchange for his eternal service.

Partial bio: He’s rich, somewhat famous, and owns several companies. Rick was practically a king(and actually owns a castle). Rick, being selfish, wanted to continue his greedy life forever and gained that immortality due to Malum.

Partial bio: Shawn was an environmentalist, scuba diver, and…well, he just loved living life. He had the money for it due to the fact his parents left him a large inheritance. While out diving in “the middle of the ocean”, his oxygen tank…it basically exploded. He thought he would die but he somehow survived unharmed. In his last moments, he made a deal with Malum.

Partial bio: The owner of an electric company. She’s obviously rich. Kelly felt that she didn‘t have enough power. She wanted to be important. To be immortal. Malum gave her an immortal life as well as power…just not the type she expected.

Gender: Female
Age: 22
Power: Illusion
Partial bio: Was once a scientist on the verge of an important breakthrough of making an “all-purpose” vaccine. She knew it would take years to perfect. Katrina didn’t think she would live long enough to finish it and took Malum’s offer for immortality. She nearly lost her mind when she found she could project illusions out of thin air and left her lab…

Appearance: Has black hair that almost reaches his shoulders and constantly gets in his eyes, wears dark blue jeans, black boots, and a black long-sleeved shirt. Dark brown eyes, stands at about 6 feet tall, and has a faint scar on his left cheek that starts about an inch under his eye and goes back underneath his ear.
Job: Guardian(it‘s almost as if I‘m breaking my rules!).
Weapon: Beamsaber(Star Wars ripoff ftw?) at times. Although he’s used to having constantly switching weapons…yet his oldest weapon is a simple wooden sword that has yet to break.
Bio: Holden is much older than he looks. He’s even older than the high priestess of the Ahura. He’s always been fighting other people’s wars. Holden gets involved with every fight. Most recently, he knows he’s the guardian of the Ahura for the time being. Holden just wants the fighting to end so he can live his own life for once…although he takes his “job” very seriously.
Personality: Holden likes helping others out when he can. If it interferes with his mission in any way, he stays out of it. He’s always being classified as the “muscle” even though centuries of living have made him smarter than most others. He’s quick to act and can seem cold at times. He hates violence yet when he gets into a fight it usually seems as if he enjoys it.
Power/Abilities: Extreme physical abilities and short ranged teleportation.
Other: He desperately wants to become mortal. Constantly visits the Ahura.

IC: Holden took a deep breath, stuffing his hands in his pockets as he watched a car drive by the nearly empty and badly kept street. Not many cars on the ground these days. He thought to himself, lowering his head so that his hair fell in front of his face. Holden stared at the ground for several moments before beginning to walk briskly towards the old cathedral across the road. His hair almost seemed to suck up the sunlight hitting it as it moved with the slight breeze of the wind. Memories of the past filled his mind as he approached the large stone building. Leah. She's always calling me when she needs something done.
Holden stopped nearly a foot away from the massive wooden doors and glanced up at them. He stood there silently for several moments, turning his head to check if anyone was around. He saw nothing. The doors creaked loudly as he pushed them open, showing no signs of effort to move them. He then shut the large slabs of wood and sighed quietly. It didn't feel like anyone was around in the hall. It was just too quiet for his liking. I wonder if they're here...or if everyone's just spread out. "Hello!?" Holden called out from the large empty hall, hearing his voice echo for what seemed like an eternity.

Leah gazed down at her books that she had laying on her small wooden table. She occasionally turned a page, mumbling something to herself when she found something of particular interest. The room was lit by only two lamps at the sides of her table, making it seem gloomy although the entire cathredral was spotless. "Hm." She rubbed her chin with her left hand, leaning down to examine a specific text even more closely. "That must mean eight-" She cut herself off when Holden's voice reached her room. Leah jumped to her feet, slamming the book shut. "Holden doesn't always appreciate the value of silence." She muttered to herself, smiling as she spoke. I wonder if one of my two girls would at least by nice enough to bring him here. Wherever they are.

Holden spun around quickly when he felt Corentine touch his shoulder. I knew it was her. "Hey girls." He gave them both a small wave and almost smiled. "Err..." He took his hands out of his pockets and crossed his arms, thinking for a moment. "I'm here because your mother sent for me. Now where is she?" I bet it's something of extreme importance...otherwise Leah wouldn't have bothered me. Holden stared at Corentine before looking over at Stormy. One reminds me of Leah. The other...not so much.
Holden closed his eyes and tapped his fingers against his forearms. "So, can one of you at least show me where your mother is?" He asked quietly. "Please?" Holden hesistantly added, thinking it best to show some manners.
