A God's War

"Over two hundred years and I've gotten used to smells...but none like hers...it's boggling really, making me into this beast that wants her scent, that wants her blood...but I control myself..." He sighed and looked at her. "So, why do you not control yourself?"

 

"I tried, at one time to control myself... It was years and years ago, when i was staying a a village. I made a promise to a little boy I'd control myself, until he got older, and got a girlfriend. I killed his girlfriend and broke his promise. I didn't see why he had to bring home such a wonderful smell. I'll admit it was exactly like Stormy's, but a little more spicy, which made it more tempting. I love the spice of blood, but Stormy's smell's more sweeter." she explained.

 

"Hmph...sounds like you couldn't keep nothing better than life itself." He smiled, and had his hand down to her hand. "So, what about my blood...as if I had any to give...?"

 

She chuckled for a brief second.
"I can't smell other vampire's blood that much, where I'm so used to smelling my own. It has the same qualities, but yours is a little more floral also. It makes my mouth water slightly at the wondrous unique scent," she smiled.

 

"Oh does it now?" He smirked, his hand moving up to her face. "And if I were to say, kiss said lips you're using, what would you do about it?" He smiled, looking at her lips.

Her eyes pulsated as she looked away, feeling his hand on her cheek. It felt like the same temperature.
"I would probably.. kiss them back," she chuckled, looking back at him, matching his gaze.

 

Josiah smirked and took away his hand from her cheek. "Only problem I see, is that you've got a lot to learn of what a man wants, and what a man needs." He smirked as he got up and started walking back to the group.

 

She couldn't help but smile somewhat. The glare in her eyes dimmed as she took a deep breath, still sitting against the sidewalk. She stood up, almost staggering, but catching herself. She looked at a store, selling tobacco. She couldn't help herself anymore. She walked into the store, buying herself a carton of her favorite brand cigarettes. The second she walked out of the store, she lit one up, inhaling it deeply, shuddering from lack of nicotine. She walked to the group, keeping a distance, as to not blow any smoke around them. She wanted to still respect them.

 

Josiah saw her with a cigarette in her mouth, again. He sighed and not let it bother him at all. "Just another pain to deal with." He whispered to himself.

 

She frowned, inhaling another bit of nicotine, blowing it off to the side, barely any smoke leaving her lips.
"I'm sorry.. I smoke when i'm nervous, or frustrated," she said, trying to defend herself, knowing it was useless to smoke, but she felt like she 'needed' it in her body. The rush and the action. It was better than going out drinking every night like she used to.

 

Josiah looked at her. His eyes however showed anger in them, while his face did not. "Learn to control yourself anyway."

 

Her face molded into depressed stage. He was getting through to her more than he was earlier. She felt herself to obey to him, but she didn't want to. She wanted to live her own life, and be able to do what she wanted. She smoked the rest and threw the filter in a trashcan on the street, coughing out a few times. She put the carton back in her bag and leaned against the building, feeling the nicotine go to her head.

 

Josiah sighed and walked over to her. "Do I get to you more often than I was earlier?" He looked at her, crossing his arms over his chest.

 

Her eyes went into a confused and yet surprised stage. She didn't possibly think he was able to read her mind, what with knowing now that his question was true. She dug around her bag, looking for a bottle.
"Perhaps," she shuddered. She couldn't help but look up at his eyes, and feel panic.
"Are you reading my thoughts?" she asked, then felt the bottle in her hand. She opened the lid and got one of the small blue pills, popping it between her lips and dry swallowing it.

 

Josiah smirked. "Nope, the expression on your face...too bad, if I could read minds, I'd probably have that kind of power to see what people had on their mind...but guess what? I don't, only strength and speed, the lowliest form of Vampire really." He looked at the ceiling and back at her. "That what you wanted to hear?"

 

She shrugged. It was more than what she expected, because she really thought he could hear or read her mind.
"It was more than what i expected," she admitted aloud. She chuckled at herself, looking through her bag again for a different set of pills.

 

Josiah smirked. "More?" He looked at her eyes and put his hand on her bag, keeping her from pulling her hand out.

 

She nodded, feeling his hand on the bag.
"I'm sorry.. Just my anxiety pills," she said, chuckling to herself, not in a haha funny way, but as a nervous laugh.

 

Josiah looked at her. "Lier..." He put his hand in the back and pulled out a bottle of red pills. "And you thought I wouldn't know until now?"

 

She raised an eyebrow.
"These are my anxiety pills. They calm me down when i want to at times," she chuckled.
